The apartment is located on the second floor of one of the most elegant mansions that embellish the very central, historical street of Via Ugo Bassi. We are perfectly located with just a stone\'s throw away from the eventful Piazza Maggiore. The entire condominium has been recently renovated whilst keeping the atmosphere of the Art Nouveau building intact, which at this very moment is amazingly fresh and modern. There are no architectural barriers within and the apartment is comfortably accessible by elevator.
The apartment features stylish, original Venetian laminate throughout and it\'s characterised with a stunning Bolognian traditional ancient palace design and finish. Each room conveniently has its own air-conditioning system. The atmosphere and environment resemble that of a contemporary New York photography studio; this space has strategic white walls which bring out the new-age exclusive furnishings which are accredited to the designer label of Gavina. The large windows allow the space to be illuminated at all times, as it faces the quaint, medieval landscape of the historical heart of Bologna.
Upon entering you will find yourself in the large living area, which is composed of three elegant rooms. The first dining room space features an eye-catching POP scene, where a classic boardroom table and its comfortable seating are surrounded by avantgarde mannequins that stand among piles of art and design publications.
The second room is devoted to the relaxation of the guest. On the black lacquered console, the multimedia system consists of a 50\" TV, with the possibility of 3D viewing (using the supplied glasses), and a beautiful Bluetooth speaker for music. In addition to a comfortable sofa bed (120 x 200 cm), the living room is equipped with an additional sofa for two seaters and a glass table for 6, with elegant seating.
The living room also offers a third room, more intimate and dominated by white color, whence, along with a chest of drawers, there is a sofa bed (140 x 200 cm) made of dark gray fabric and a designer coat rack.
The evening area is composed of two contemporary bedrooms, one has a double bed, a 32\" TV, a clothes rack and a bedside table; the second bedroom is furnished with two single beds (which can be joined together upon request) and a big wardrobe.
The kitchen is furnished with a breakfast table for 2 people. The wall cabinets are beautifully custom-made and they house the dishwasher, refrigerator and a washing machine. You have a choice of 2 hotplates and a microwave/grill at your disposal or preference.

This gorgeous venue guarantees a memorable stay and is a stone\'s throw from the heart of the historical centre of Bologna: Piazza Maggiore. The shopping area boasts a full-bodied array of produce which includes fresh handmade pasta made daily, the best cuts of meat, traditional sausages, fish of the Adriatic Sea and locally grown vegetables: everything is available within walking distance from home.
We are precisely located in the middle of the old medieval city. Piazza Maggiore is the main square of Bologna and is encircled by the most important buildings of the city. The most ancient is Palazzo Podesta, which dates back to 1200 and is surmounted by the Tower dell\'Arengo, which by the ringing of its bells gestures all the people in the vicinity to gather together. The Palazzo di Re Enzo is behind it and is renowned for its pedestrianized quadrivium, it is surmounted by a groined vault with special the acoustic properties. Palazzo d\'Accursio, a the monumental architectural ensemble of fourteenth century, is currently home to the City of Bologna; then we find the Basilica of San Petronio which is a stunning example of Italian Gothic architecture. Construction began towards the end of the fourteenth century and was never completed Palazzo Banchi, ultimately, marks the beginning of the most famous colonnade of the city, the Pavaglione, it connects Piazza Maggiore at Archiginnasio, the first home of the University of Bologna which is the oldest in the world.
Today the University is less than 10 minutes’ walk away using the pretty Via Zamboni, where midway you will approach the Municipal Theatre, popular for its full calendar of lyrical operas. The apartment is surrounded by the following most historical monuments: among the most famous are St. Stephen\'s Square (with its magnificent seven churches build upon each other and the beautiful Corte Isolani) and the Asinelli tower, which leans evocatively towering above its smaller sister Tower of Garisenda. Shopping enthusiasts will have the freedom to go wild down the overcrowded Via Indipendenza, where you will find fascinating Designer Label stores housed by the magnificent Galleria Cavour or visit the most refined boutiques of Via Farini or Via d\'Azeglio.
Public transportation:
Via Ugo Bassi\'s bus stop allows you a quick trip to the train station (where you can take the airport shuttle), to Bologna\'s Exhibition Hall and hospitals; keep in mind that all of the beautiful monuments and points of interest which form an integral part of the historic centre are reachable just a short walking distance away.
Parking:
The apartment is within the restricted traffic area (ZTL) and an access-ticket is required. You may park in the street, on the places indicated with blue stripes, free of charge on Sundays and every night from 20:00 to 8:00; and upon payment (red parking meter) during the day.
Another option is the garage of Piazza Galileo 5 (access from Piazza Roosevelt) or the one of Via Barberia 13, very close to the apt. Here you may also fill a form to get access to the restricted traffic area.
Information to consider about moving around central Bologna: For stays of 3 months and longer, it is possible to apply for a full-permit entry to the historic centre valid for the duration of your stay. For guests who stay for a short period of time the Municipality acknowledges entrance to the city centre valid for only 3 days during the course of the month.
As an alternative, you can park in the adjacent parking lot of Piazza 8 Agosto (€ 24 per day, or € 200 for the entire month.
