The relative lack of stairs made this ideal for my mother and I since we are both disabled. The yard and casual atmosphere was heavenly for our dog. Our only complaint was that although it was advertised as having a wood stove and as having no AC, it didn't specify that there was no heating other than the stove. Even during our summer stay the nights were cold. Also we weren't told ahead of time to bring wood for the stove. If they were more upfront about the stove being the only source of heat we would have rated this 5 stars.

Communication and check in was superb. Got all the information I needed and when had questions - responses came within the hour. Great location! Very spacious!However, would recommend that some items in kitchen are updated due to their current state - pans are in poor shape, garbage can has broken opening lever; both coffee pots are missing items (1 is drip tray; other is pot does not match device so gets stuck). All things operable. Also, kitchen needs some supplies like spatulas. Overall - a great stay! Would recommend to others. We had a lovely time! Enjoyed the hot tub and the queen beds were next level comfortable.

Bodega Bay Stay

The home was lovely, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It is spacious and comfortable, with the fireplace adding to the cozy, beachy vibe. While there’s an ocean view, it’s partially obstructed, and the beach itself isn’t visible—but the sunset is absolutely stunning. Reaching the two nearby beaches isn’t a simple stroll. Instead, accessing them requires a bit of a challenging climb, and both are gravel rather than sand. Despite the limited beach access, especially for the older members of our family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ocean View w/Lovely Big Deck

The property was clean and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. The best part of the property was the beautiful view. At one point I tried to contact the Property Manager and just got voice mail jail. It would have been nice to have a binder with instructions at the property. I did read all the other instructions but it is convenient to have instructions at the property. A generic list of stuff to do was sent on the day of checkout telling us to strip sheets off the bed which we did and to load the dishwasher which there wasn't one. We also emptied all the waste baskets. There should be specifics for each property not a generic list. We had a good time and escaped 100+ degree weather.

Great location and can see the ocean from the back deck

We stayed here as a little family getaway. The hot tub under the stars with the sound of the ocean was a hit with my kids. The location was great for getting to the beaches. We had a wonderful time for our new years getaway.

Review

We had a wonderful time and found the accommodations tom be outstanding. The staff was excellent and attentive. Only challenge was using the lock-box to gain entry to the house. The difficulty was due to my not properly entering the code into the system causing a problem. The staff was very patient is working with me to resolve this issue. Overall outstanding!

Overall good stay

The gas bbq was not working which caused us to have to replan dinner last minute, we also had several people constantly knocking on the door asking about the owners of the house. We would have preferred to not be bothered. Overall it was a good stay, house appliances are a little outdated.

Great house!

We spent 15 years at Jack's house and so it was wonderful coming back to carmet! House was perfect! Hot tub was lovely after a day of fishing for Ling cod!! Huge kitchen, perfect for the family! Thankfully my husband is a contractor as he was able to fix the sink for your next guest!!

Review

This place is a dump. Termite in kitchen, dirty dishes, grimy, crusty, sticky. No instructions for anything. Sliding screen door fell out of track. No facial tissue. Garage is horrible. Don’t look behind the washer dryer. Vacasa should be out of business for price gouging for this horrible residence. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy if I had one.

Wonderful property! Will be back!

Had a really great long weekend staying in this home. The house is in a great location, was very clean, and well stocked with the essentials. The view from the patio and living room is fantastic. There is a small turnout about 50 yards up Hwy 1 and there is beach access from that turnout but it's a little treacherous. The larger parking lots north and south have better beach access. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. The BBQ grill was left with 2 full tanks of propane. The hot tub was clean and well maintained (the spa cleaner even came when we were there). The host leaves a pile of towels too! One recommendation for people who are driving in is to bring with you the food and beverages you plan on eating. The two little stores about 10 minutes away are very expensive. The first morning I went to buy milk, eggs, hot sauce, and 3 breakfast burritos and it cost $57. The only hiccup was the directions said the lockbox to get the key to open the front door was to the left of the garage. It was actually hanging on the front door itself. Technically the instructions were correct since the front door is left of the garage but we were looking all over immediately left of the garage door so it took about 15 minutes to find it in the dark.

Great location

Nice house, nothing fancy but spacious, on a quiet street just off Highway 1 within easy walking distance to a great dog- friendly beach. We enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the ocean and the two separate living areas, great for family gatherings. Needs a bit of maintenance but the most pressing problem - with a loose kitchen sink faucet - was promptly resolved with the management company.

Disappointing

We’ve stayed here several times. It’s always been great. This time was not. The house wasn’t clean. Dishes were put away with dried food on them. The faucet in the kitchen was not connected to the actual sink. The toilet in one bathroom was barely connected to the floor. Reserved through VRBO, but dealt with Vacasa for everything. In previous years, I was able to contact the homeowner personally. No longer possible. I don’t think we’ll be going back again.
