The house is incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed. The view is spectacular too, we loved just staring out at the ocean. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Cari was very responsive, a great host.

The Spare time beach house is the perfect mix of class and comfort. I was highly impressed with all the kitchen accessories provided as well as the extras for my dog (dog bed, bowls, etc.) Cari has done an amazing job showcasing the natural beauty that surrounds the home. While the weather wasn't quite nice enough during our visit to enjoy the ample outdoor seating areas, I look forward to returning to do so! Communication with Cari was also a breeze. Quick, friendly responses that make you feel extra cared for. Thank you, again, for sharing your space with us. We look forward to coming back someday :)

Our host was great. She knew a lot about the area and gave great ideas. We picked this location for the view and it didn’t disappoint. The views were amazing. We also loved the hot tub the fire pit table and the lounge chairs. There were many extras that made the stay that much better. Would definitely come back to this awesome place.

Cari was amazing with meeting our needs above and beyond!! After staying at some rentals, I was packing spices and oils and pans because they were lacking Cari’s home has everything you could possibly need!! And she’s got the nicest stuff she really does take incredible care of her guest!! I really appreciate her attention to detail!! It’s a great place to stay. We will be back actually we’ve already booked February.

We highly recommend this property. It is a beautiful, well-appointed house. And the location, right across from Carmet Beach, is ideal. We loved being able to walk across to a magnificent view of the coves. And Cari, the host, is extremely helpful. We will be back!

Stayed 3 nights. This place is amazing. Everything you could want in a Bodega Bay get away! We did have perfect weather. Mid-August, no wind, mid 70s. The deck out front was incredible for the view. The bed was comfortable, and the hot tub was the perfect added bonus. I was honestly angry at having to go back home after staying here. It was too good. I will definitely be back!!!

What an amazing time we had at Spare Time Beach House! We sat on the front deck to watch a few of the most epic sunsets, and the shooting stars while sitting in the hot tub were the icing on the cake. The house is well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace made for a cozy night to relax by. We loved every minute of it!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely and had everything we needed for a week long stay. We didn’t even feel the need to drive anywhere with the ocean right across the street. We loved sitting on the front deck watching the whales. Our dogs loved the backyard. It gave them plenty of room to run and play and we really appreciated how well it was enclosed to keep our fur babies safe. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed at Spare Time for a couple nights to celebrate just getting married. The views were amazing, the house was beautiful, and the backyard was perfect for the dogs. The owner, Cari, was such a pleasure to work with. She really thought of everything that could be needed and more to make guests feel right at home. We can’t wait to go back!

Our Family’s lovely Ocean front adventure..summer of 2025

Beautiful home, clean and well maintained. Felt cozy for the whole family. The views from the livingroom and the kitchen where amazing views. We all enjoyed our small weeknd away for the city light. Loved the sound of the ocean waves late at night when winding down, very relaxing atmosphere. We appreciate the opportunity to stay and I thank you again for allowing the whole family a wonderful weekend on the beach. P.S. We also got to opportunity to head down to the early morning low tide! Thanks for the tip the night before to set the alarms!

Our New Favorite Spot by the Coast

We had a wonderful stay at Spare Time beach house. The location was perfect—right across the street from the ocean with an incredible, unobstructed view of the Pacific. We could hear the waves from inside the house, which made the whole experience feel so peaceful and relaxing.The house itself was spotless and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It’s updated with modern touches but still feels warm and inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked—we cooked two meals and didn’t find ourselves missing anything. And the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring—nothing beats sitting in it while listening to the ocean.Cari was amazing—very responsive, clear, and helpful throughout the whole process. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and communication was smooth from start to finish.We come to Bodega Bay once or twice a year to escape the heat and soak in the trails, beaches, and great food. This has definitely become one of our favorite vacation rentals, and we’ll absolutely try to stay here again!

A perfect stay

Loved it! The house has the perfect mix of casual beach vibes with excellent amenities. Everything you need is here, and is in good shape. Beds and couches are comfy and clean.Wasn't sure if being right on the hwy would be too noisy, but you don't notice it when you're inside and the ocean view is sooo worth the slow roll of cars.We especially appreciated how dogs are not only allowed, but approved of, and really added to the pleasure of having our two dogs with us. The fenced rear yard was secure enough to feel ok having them out there.

Best place to stay in Bodega Bay

This was our 2nd time staying at Spare Time with our 2 big dogs. The house has every amenity you could ask for! It has the perfect location with amazing ocean views, plus you are a short drive from lots of great food options. Cari is an amazing host. Great communication and zero issues with our stays. We love coming to Spare Time and will only consider staying there when we go to BB.
