The Space:

Nearly a century old, this single-story home has been carefully updated to preserve its classic character while adding the modern comforts that make a stay easy. It isn’t a grand or hollow space; instead, it feels settled and snug, designed for those who appreciate the slower pace of the Sonoma Coast.



The living room offers a warm, immediate welcome as you step inside. It’s a comfortable space where the gas fireplace becomes the natural center of the home, especially on those misty coastal evenings when you just want to settle in and get cozy. The kitchen has been thoughtfully renovated to make meal prep easy and efficient. It is a practical space perfectly suited for a slow coastal breakfast or a dinner made with fresh fish from the local docks and vibrant veggies from the nearby farm market. The layout is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, flowing directly into the dining area so the cook is always part of the conversation. A small coffee and game area is tucked away nearby, keeping your morning essentials and evening entertainment within easy reach.



For rest, the primary bedroom is designed as a true sanctuary, anchored by a king bed and a quiet corner workstation for those who need to check in with the world before heading to the beach. This room is a self-contained escape with its own ensuite bathroom, which holds much of the cottage’s original charm. It features a classic clawfoot tub for soaking, a pedestal sink, and a unique porthole window that shines light through the house's historic frame. The second bedroom is located just off the dining area and is equally comfortable with a queen bed, making it a peaceful spot for guests. Nearby, the main bathroom serves double duty as a laundry room, offering the practical convenience of a washer and dryer in a bright, clean space.



The outdoor areas are perhaps the most used "rooms" of the house. The wraparound porch is the perfect vantage point for watching the village wake up with a cup of coffee, or catching the sunset over the water at the end of the day. Around the back, a separate deck offers a bit more privacy with outdoor couches and a BBQ, providing a sheltered spot to grill and relax among the succulents. Note on Parking: While this historic property does not have a designated onsite driveway, there is a wealth of easy, unrestricted street parking available immediately adjacent to the home.

Taylor Made Cottage is positioned in the quintessential "Old Bodega Bay," just a short, scenic stroll from the water’s edge. Immerse yourself in the local culture by walking to nearby artisan cafés, eclectic shops, and renowned seafood spots.



For the adventurer, the location is unbeatable. The rugged beauty of South Salmon Creek Beach, the rolling dunes of Bodega Dunes, and the calm shores of Doran Beach are all within a two-mile radius—perfect for tide-pooling, surfing, or meditative sunset walks.



The cottage also serves as a gateway to the wider wonders of Northern California. Take a scenic drive north to the misty cliffs of Jenner, east to the world-class vineyards of the Russian River Valley, or south to the wild vistas of Point Reyes National Seashore.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring Bodega Bay and the surrounding Sonoma Coast.

Many restaurants, cafés, and the waterfront are within walking distance of the home, while nearby beaches and scenic coastal spots are just a short drive away.



Other Things to Note:

Dog Policy:

- 1 dog max without prior host approval. No aggressive breeds or other types of pets allowed.

- Please keep dog off all furniture and beds.

- Dog must never be left unattended in the property.

- Always clean up after your pet, both inside and out.

- No excessive barking.

- Keep dog on leash when outside.

- A small pet fee is charged to cover the cost of additional cleaning; however, this fee is not meant to cover any damage caused by guests' dog.



Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM, in line with local ordinances.



📌Please note that during the rainy season (typically October through March), outdoor furniture cushions are stored away to protect them from the elements and ensure they remain clean and dry. Consequently, outdoor seating may not be set up as pictured during these months.



📌Property Maintenance:

A service provider may stop by during your stay to care for the outside of the property, such as yard maintenance. They’ll stay outside and won’t enter the home. See your guidebook for service days and times. We always do our best to let you know ahead of time.
