First, the layout of the house is nice. The view from the deck is beautiful. However, the house needs some serious TLC and a new cleaning service. One of the kitchen chairs was broken and not usable. The pictures of the furniture in the living room is not what’s in the house. It is an older sectional that used to recline. The floors are horribly damaged. There is no video game in the basement (see picture of a table and lamp instead). The foosball table is not usable as many of the men are missing or are broken. The gas fireplace was not in service and I’m not certain if we would have been told beforehand if I didn’t contact the owner regarding wood for the outside fireplace (which is not provided but you will pass a house with a wood for sale sign on the way to the cabin. The gentleman offers a very reasonable price, delivers and unloads the wood for you). The rocking chairs outside have severely chipping paint and the outside furniture desperately needs new cushions. The ones in use are very stained and have multiple rips. There was debris behind one of the dressers in the main level bedroom on the left. These was dust and debris under the credenza in the basement. The bunk beds were not made. Extra towels were not folded but found in the dryer. The towels are very thin and should be replaced. Going back to the issue with the gas fireplace, we were given a whole 50 refund for this issue. In all, the house itself was nice, but most everything else…..

We enjoyed our stay at Ohana Lodge. The setting and views were 5 stars. The cabin is positioned facing east-ward so you catch the morning sunrise views early and also enjoy the benefit of muted sunset colorations in the sky. The playground space and fenced in yard overlook the spanning views and create a gorgeous backdrop for playtime with young children or pets. The hot tub was a nice feature, overlooked the views, and was very clean upon our use. The reason we give this review 4 and not 5 stars is simply due to the current condition of the cabin itself. Plainly stated, it needs a lot of TLC. Do not expect a luxury feel when you stay - furniture, namely the living room couch is broken and needs replacement, the fireplace had not been maintained and after a repair visit arranged by the host, was not able to be fixed but rather decommissioned for future use until repair, which was disappointing given the cold season had already begun prior to our stay. The foosball table is broken to the point beyond use. The playground was not broken (yet) but close to needing some maintenance/repair. The kitchen-ware, pots, and pans could use a refresh and appeared like they have never been replaced or upgraded. The oven was slow to warm and heat as we were cooking. The overall cabin needed a thorough deep cleaning, as we noticed dust and grime on floors and under furniture. Lastly, pay attention to the instructions the host provides on access as you do not want to come in the south drive.

We truly enjoyed our visit.. the location was a little concerning after we saw it but we began to feel more secure.. however, when we checked in the door to the bottom floor was standing wide open.. we were a little afraid until we completely searched the house.

Gorgeous view & large covered deck, comfortable seating, we enjoyed the pool table in the basement. Parts of the road are a little steep but nothing that should scare anyone off. Directions were great and streets marked well. We also enjoyed the play area and fire pit.

The location and size was wonderful. The cleaning company should dust and be sure the dishes are actually clean in the cabinet. The bathrooms need to have bath mats to prevent falls on the ceramic floors. I’m sorry to have to report these things because it is a terrific cabin. I just think the owner should be aware I left the glasses in the cabinet just as I found them so you can show the owner

Overall good! Small things like we weren't aware the downstairs beds wouldn't be made upon arrival, but we just made them real quick. Downstairs shower curtain was a lil scary but the host communicated well when i let them know. Good space and location with an amazing view! Would stay again for a longer time!

Summer Family Vacation

Check in was quick and easy and the cabin is lovely. So quiet and peaceful with amazing views! We saw three rainbows over the course of the weekend couldn’t stop taking pictures. The view of the mountains changes constantly and is absolutely breathtaking. I did communicate with Rocky a few times and he was incredibly responsive. What a memorable week!

Perfect location for family vacation

Spacious, sleeping areas on three different floors for privacy / separation, wonderful views, regular use of hot tub, firepit, gas grill and playground. Certain that both living room and patio fireplaces are popular during the fall and winter. Quiet and private location within 10 minute drive to Blue Ridge.

Breath of fresh air

Waking to the beauty of the blue ridge mountains is like ingesting fresh air. Sitting by the fire pit at night with family is invigorating and relationship strengthening. Thoroughly enjoyed this precious time with family away from the madness of modern life.

Very happy we stayed here. Beautiful view, great space, and perfect for the family. Overall we were very happy with our stay here. The hot tub was great! There is some basic wear and tear to the property. The dryer took a long time to dry clothes. The dryer vent needs to be replaced. The kitchen has wear and tear, older drawers/ cabinets but kitchen/dining space was great. Bedrooms were nice layouts and worked great for our big family of 15. The outdoor kids play area was perfect for the kids to play outside. We roasted s'mores in the outside fire pit. It was nice to have separate spaces to relax upstairs and downstairs. Outdoor patio overlooking the mountain was a breathtaking view. Overall we loved our stay here and would recommend it.

Overall great stay! We were not prepared for how far up the mountain we would be, so be aware that this is a steep climb with very narrow roads (that’s why only 4 stars - we felt like we should have known that before coming since some vehicles may have trouble with the steep drives). Be sure to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels, and be prepared to wash your dishes and put them away before you check out. The WiFi worked ok for us but some delays on streaming - that’s to be expected so far out. There’s no arcade game in the game room anymore. Only one towel per person, so bring your own laundry detergent for longer stays. We would definitely come again!

Family Wedding

We enjoyed everything about this place. The views were magnificent. The home was very spacious, clean and accommodating . We were a family of 10 from New Jersey attending a wedding At The Falls Of Blue Ridge and this home was just a short drive to the venue. The host answered any questions we had in a timely manner . We highly recommend staying here!

Great layout/views, needs TLC

Great layout, views, and the playground for kids is super convenient. The property needs some TLC and a deep cleaning though. The counters and cabinets were sticky, sheets stained/hairs in bed, playground is on its last leg, and broken furniture throughout.

Women's ministry retreat

We stayed for the weekend for our Women's retreat. Check in was super easy and the location was amazing! Plenty of seating for worship/message that we did on the porch for 17 ladies. Game room was fun and had lots of different things.

Great views.

House was roomy and had great views. We did, however, experience some difficulties:- toilet on mail floor had lots of problems. Sometimes wouldn’t flush, filled slowly.- sink downstairs dripped constantly - hot tub wasn’t full, so periodically spewed out water. Made lots of noise. - had only 5 coffee cups for a house that sleeps 20.

A great family weekend
