Had a great time here. Pros: the owners were very helpful and attentive, and they were quick to respond. The cottage was cozy and relatively secluded, a perfect spot for a married couple escaping the kids for a birthday/Valentines weekend. There is ready access to a walking path that continues for miles, and the cabin is close enough to town that getting to any restaurant or event is not a chore. I had no problem cooking in the kitchen, there were plenty of pans pots and utensils to get most jobs done. Lots of extra towels were very helpful during the afternoon soak in the hot tub.Cons: Only major downside is related to the seclusion. The road leading to the cabin is decidedly one way, and very rough in parts. Without a lot of room on the side to allow bypassing and some blind corners/hillcrests, driving up and down felt a bit of a gamble, especially in our humble minivan. If you go, recommend a sturdy small suv/allwheel drive/v6 engine vehicle. Very minor downside, for me, others may love it. The upstairs bedroom is perfect as a master bedroom, but had an open view to both outside and the road/neighbor cabin. While the bottom windows are shaded, the tops are not, so there is a privacy gamble for people in the master bedroom when you stand up. If noone is nextdoor, it is not a problem, but we checked in at the same time as another person in the cabin next door, so this was always in the back of my mind.5/5 would stay again but would bring a more punchy car.
