The host was very attentive and easy to communicate with, before our arrival, during our stay, and after checkout. The welcome items left for us were thoughtful and generous, and the house has every possible item guests may need. The info binder for the house and local area attractions was perfect. An exceptional VRBO by all measures.

First time VRBO user, excellent experience, comfortable, clean, has everything you can think of including special warm touches. We were here for a graduation and it became the gathering place which is very difficult to do in a hotel! Highly recommend

This was the cleanest vacation rental ever. It also had an amazing kitchen with everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly need or want. The linens and towels were nice, the back patio was amazing, and the owner was incredible. Communication was top notch and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a nice basket with some treats. We stayed Easter weekend and the holiday touches and decorations were a nice touch.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful views and a wonderful porch to relax on. The house was super clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The host was welcoming and had great communication.

Family Visit to The Redwoods

The Blue Lake property was perfect for our family of four. The place has a great and creative vibe about it. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there. We will definitely return to the property again as there is so much to see on the north coast.

Charming house with private porch and patio with great view.

Great place! They provided firewood so we could have a cozy fire, had lots of games for the family to play. Beds were very comfy. Place was clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely hidden gem!

Perfect stay in beautiful Humboldt County. The house is up on a hillside and the view is absolutely as advertised. Easy access to all the state and national park attractions. The hosts were so communicative and even provided custom hiking recommendations for our family. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing home!

Awesome place! Very clean and great little space with view of the mountains in front porch and beautiful back yard with seating, large grill and plenty of toys/books for kiddos to enjoy. It even had a travel crib for the little one and a high chair! Highly recommended will be back to stay at the house!

Perfect getaway home

This cozy home in Blue Lake had gorgeous views. Perfect for cuddling up with a blanket and tea and lots of rest and relaxation. Serena was a fabulous host and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We are planning on returning soon.

Amazing and Beautiful

What a wonderful place. Very clean, homey and comfortable, including the back and front porch areas. It felt secluded, but close to everything we needed. The decor was amazing and bery artsy with the beautiful floor, wood stove, and kitchen-living room area. We came for my daughters wedding. Other family stayed close by at the Blue Lake Casino. We will definitely try to stay here again when we visit again.

Beautiful Place

This was my second stay here and it is worth every penny. Serena is the best host and the place is in a beautiful setting. There are so many comfortable places to sit outside and enjoy the natural beauty. There is a babbling stream far below the house. could hear from all tye porches.

Quiet, Spotless and very well appointed. This house is meticulous.

This place is lovely. Seven of us met there for a casual family reunion and it went off without a hitch. The beds are comfy, the appliances are new... as is pretty much everything else! The secluded patio is peaceful and has a welcome artistic vibe. Our host, Serena has thought of every little detail and has a vibrant, friendly personality. We loved our stay!!

Great place!

We just stayed at the property for our son's graduation from Cal Poly Humboldt. From the beginning of the rental process to the end we were pleased with how smooth everything went. Serena was a wonderful, thoughtful host who made every attempt to make our stay perfect. The property was perfect for a relaxing space to celebrate our son's big day. The house had everything we needed to cook, relax and enjoy our stay! We would definitely stay here again!

A real gem in Humboldt County

Beautifully decorated and appointed property. About 12 minutes away from Arcata. Easy on and off the highway. Very quiet neighborhood. A great location from which to explore the area. Responsive and communicative host. We will be back!

perfect!

This home is amazing. Just east of Arcata and nestled just above a quiet little town, this is a perfect retreat after a day of hiking and exploring the Redwoods and the coast. The home is spotless, very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, including an awesome front porch for sipping coffee in the morning with a view of Blue Lake and the hillside beyond. Serena is an extremely gracious host, and I wish we could have stayed longer. 100% would rent this home again.

Flawless

A beautiful and cozy home, well-appointed and meticulously maintained in a welcoming community that abounds with natural wonders. The owners pay attention to details that make the difference between a place to sleep and a stay to remember. If you are going to be in the Arcata area (and why wouldn’t you be?) then you can’t go wrong with this one.

Arcata visit

Our family had a fabulous stay in Blue Lake. The home layout is perfect for families; parents on one side, the kitchen and living room in the middle, with two other bedrooms on the opposite side. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. There are indoor games and bag toss to use on the lovely backyard patio. The home is charming inside and out with a lovely view of the valley. Serena could not have been a better host. In preparation for the trip she checked in, answered questions and provided useful information about the area. She was very accessible throughout. This home is missing nothing. This is where we will stay when we return to the area.
