We had a great 7 day stay at Skyfall. The house is at the top of the mountain with wonderful views in all directions. Communications with the property manager were very easy and the house was well appointed. We will return next summer.

A special treat

Sky fall is a special place. With expansive views to the south and north, it is just a treat to sit and stare at the views. The home was very well provisioned for home cooking and the furnishings were very comfortable. 9 minutes to Blowing Rock.

Amazing

We enjoyed our stay at Skyfall very much. It was easy to access off of 221. The views were amazing. It was very quiet and relaxing. The only disappointment no TV in the Master Bedroom. I would stay at Skyfall again.

Above it all!!

We have been vacationing in Boone/Blowing Rock for ten years and this is the best property we have ever rented! At previous rentals, I always looked up at higher properties and wondered how their view was...but now having stayed at Skyfall, I know! It is THE BEST view I have ever experienced. The owners have furnished Skyfall with quality kitchen furnishings, everything we needed was there. The place is so well equipped, we felt we were staying at a friend's house and not a rental. The cleaning service they use is top notch - my wife said there is not a spec of dust to be found. The lay out of the property is perfect as situated - you can see the sun rise and set from the living room with the spacious windows. You are at the top of your own private mountain - and the owners have also landscaped/cleared trees so you can see Grandfather Mountain to your west! I sent pictures to friends and everyone of them asked for the listing....now I am afraid Skyfall will always be booked, because we intend to come back again and again! My wife and kids said we can never stay anywhere else, we have been spoiled by Skyfall! Thank you to the owners and cleaners!!

Beautiful NC views

So happy we picked Skyfall for our annual trip to the mountains. Cabin could not have been more perfect. The weather was somewhat uncooperative during our stay so there were several days when fog and haze limited our view, but on the clear days you could see for MILES. The picture window in the living room was like a living painting. We enjoyed every aspect of the cabin during our stay with our two shepherds. A couple quick notes about the property: You definitely NEED 4WD for the driveway in inclement weather. Thankfully I’m a very experienced driver (rented a 4WD but the rental company pulled a last minute switcharoo due to a recall) but the final 50 yards or so of the driveway are very steep and can be slippery. The outside entry stairs can also become a tad slippery during inclement weather. For those traveling with pets, be advised that the cabin is at the top of the mountain as described and the grassy spaces are limited. There’s a couple steep drops near the edges so you definitely want to keep any pets on a leash. The cabin does have great cell service and fast WI-FI, unlike others we’ve stayed at in the area. This may be a pro or a con depending on how good you are at disconnecting on vacation, but we appreciated it because it made picking activities in the surrounding areas much easier when plans changed due to weather (Skyfall is convenient to most of the attractions in the greater Blowing Rock/Boone area so there’s plenty to choose from). Overall, we can’t recommend this cabin enough although we selfishly want to keep it a secret for the future.

Amazing views and unmatched comfort

The house is extremely comfortable and has amazing views all around. The amenities (fully stocked kitchen, high speed internet, cable tv and TVs in all the rooms) made our stay very comfortable. The seating and fireplace on the outdoor porch was our favorite feature. We enjoyed stunning mountain views in all directions. The owner even setup a trail down to the small creek at the base of the mountain, painstakingly marked by trail flags so even the most inexperienced hiker can navigate. Highly recommended for families or couples looking for a quiet getaway. 10/10 - we are already planning our next stay at SkyFall.

Fantastic

We loved this home. Great views, comfortable, clean, great property. Very dog friendly. We very much enjoyed walking the property. Great outdoor space and decks, well equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend and would rent again.

Weekend getaway

This property has some of the best long range views of anywhere we’ve stayed in the area. The house is comfortable and stocked with everything you could ever need to have a great vacation. Only drawback was, the gas grill was filthy when we checked in (on a Wednesday) and supposedly there was a person that was coming on Thursday to clean it. He never showed, and I called the property management to make them aware. They said they’d check on it and never called me back. I ended up cleaning it myself. Other than that minor issue, everything else was great.
