"My friends and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend! The short tramps and sound was gorgeous, and the house itself had everything one could want for a relaxing weekend: a pizza oven, fireplace, dogs! The hosts were very accommodating and superbly friendly!"

"The house is very well equipped and is private. Awesome deck which looks out to bush and a reserve. The beds are very hard, which was the only down fall for us. If you like a hard bed then the house is perfect."

"Great place to stay for a long weekend getaway. House is very cool with lots of space to play and have quiet time if needed. Lovely big lawn to activities, kayaks and dinghy were great. Lots of toys books and dvds for rainy days. Pretty much all bases are covered! Such a special place highly recommend."

"This property was a solid 3.5-4 out of 5. Great location in Havelock - walking distance to the pubs and local shops. Easy parking, on street and one in the driveway. Fireplace with loads of wood, comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets, nice big living room, dining table etc. Would be great for a family or group of friends. The downsides were that the towels are quite old and very small, and there is limited crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, and only 3 wine glasses, which seemed strange...

"A beautiful family beach holiday crib right by the seashore. Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. We couldn’t have dreamed of anything better than what we had the privilege of enjoying here thank you to the hosts who share their slice of paradise"

"Blue cod off jetty, shark and stingray cruising by. Amazing forest walks. Bathroom was not so clean and bbq so dirty it caught fire but we cleaned it and carried on. It was well worth it!!!"

"The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable. "We loved the outdoor space, location near the Queen Charlotte Track and the snooker table! It was our first time playing snooker. There is room to spread out, but the bedrooms were tight. Unfortunately, there were no outlets in the bathroom. Not a big thing, but something we noticed and were aware of. We appreciated that they were environmentally aware and made it easy for us to participate. We would return in a heartbeat!"
