This was the third time we have stayed at Blanco River retreat. It was fabulous. It was perfect for our large family. Lots of room for kids to play and adults to relax. Enough room for us to prepare and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. We are already looking to find dates for trip number 4.

This is truly a perfect place to stay with a large group of people. Blanco was just a few minutes away!!! Cathy was on point is sharing all of the particulars regarding the property and helpful throughout our stay. With two houses and plenty of bathrooms, everybody felt right at home. The balcony's view of the Blanco River and all of the dear that would come to feed was beautiful to see! Thumbs up for The Blanco River Retreat!

Blanco Retreat

Our family reunion of siblings /spouses found the retreat property a perfect setting for a quiet weekend of togetherness. The house(s) were extremely well appointed, leaving nothing to want. The location was central and convenient to many of the desirable Hill Country excursions and nearby Blanco’s quaintness and chill Vibe was perfect. Great communication and accurate property listing.

Wonderful family experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We had 20 family and friends and we were able to gather communally easily and yet plenty of places for folks to also have private space. Easy to cook for the group in the gorgeous kitchen which was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, pool was just as nice as the online pics, and the outdoor spaces were great. Sad that the river was still dry this year but lovely views from every window and deck.

Family Christmas

I cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is!! We gathered for Christmas to honor 4 generations and it was more special than I even imagined. The kitchen was incredibly equipped!! We had everything we needed to prepare, cook, & serve 20 of us. In fact, the best set up I’ve had with any house I’ve rented. The host was available for all we needed, and prioritized the importance of our stay. The beds, the amenities, the property itself was so comfortable and accessible. From our family kickball game, to fire pit chats, to hot tub use….there was more than enough to make our time together truly special. I would love to rent again in the summer and be able to use the pool! It’s a beautiful place!! Thank you Cathy for all you’ve done to make this an experience! We’ll be back!

Perfect Place for Coporate Retreat

This place is perfect for our corporate retreat. We had our planiing, soeakers and exercises in the lodge and our leadership team also stayed at the lodge. The barn and the downstairs at the lodge was perfect for everyone else. We all especially enjoyed the architecture of the two homes. The pool area was also nice and looked great at night. We also enjoyed all if the deer. The manager was kind, checked in often and had a nice note and bottle of wine for us. Would have been great if if there was water in the creek yet nonetheless it was a great experience and wed stay again. Wed love to see tbe owner build another guest house with 3 to 4 more bedrooms on the same property. Only other nice touch cpuld be some steing lights in front and back for more light. Thanks for everything.

Wonderful getaway!

Our group of 15 people had a wonderful time at the retreat! Our ages were from 3 to 80 and everyone had a great time! They were a lot of activities, the kitchen was wonderful, the bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic, it had everything we needed!

Loved This House!

Our family had a wonderful time at Blanco River Retreat! There was plenty of room for our large family to hang out, play games, and spend much needed time together. Both houses were lovely and well stocked with anything and everything we needed! Both had comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and all of the kitchen items you could want. There are so many things to do and see on this beautiful property. We spent most of our time enjoying the pool and large hot tub. If we weren’t swimming, we were playing ping pong, making s’mores in the fire pit, or just relaxing and watching the deer. Cathy was a wonderful host and answered any questions we had immediately. We all wanted to stay longer and hope to come again soon!

Blanco River Retreat - TEAM OFFSITE

We held our annual 15-member work team offsite at Blanco River Retreat. The place is nicely decorated, with lots of space and set of amenities, including large pool, jacuzzi, campfire ring, ping pong, spacious porch that overlooks a meadow where we saw a herd of deer grazing each morning. A truly relaxing setting. The owner was always quick to respond when we had questions and even made arrangements for us to have an onsite yoga class, which was a highlight of our stay.

Blanco River Retreat is lovely!

Our large group of kids, parents and grandparents had so much fun enjoying this property. The bunkhouse was great for the kids, and we all enjoyed watching the deer every morning and evening. Very nice pool, and it had just been cleaned. Cathy was a wonderful host and helped us be prepared for our stay and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We look forward to coming back again!

Fantastic private getaway!

We had a company retreat here and the facilities and property were perfect for us! The pool & spa were well maintained, the property is huge with a giant yard for horseshoes and bocce. Plenty of beds/baths for the whole crew. Can’t wait to return soon!

Blanco River Retreat was perfect for our family gathering

We stayed at the Blanco River Retreat with a large group of family over Christmas. The property was perfect for our group of 20 people that included 4 generations of family. The main house had plenty of room for us all to gather for meals and to socialize. The layout of the bedrooms at the main house was nice with the non-adjoined rooms and the and Barn house received great reviews from the people that stayed there. I have rented many VRBOs over the years and the kitchen in this house was better stocked than any house I've stayed in before. The grounds were spacious and the river was beautiful. The property owner was great with communication and made sure that we had everything we needed for our extended stay. We had a fantastic time and made some great memories at the Blanco River Retreat!

The Perfect Place!

It was absolutely beautiful!! The house, the property, everything was amazing. The main room is very large and wonderful to accommodate a big group. It’s decorated really beautifully and plenty of space for everyone.
