Wonderful
We recently enjoyed a delightful weekend getaway at Chapelton Cottage. The cottage itself is charming and impeccably clean. It has everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including a cozy fireplace, a comfortable bed, a fully-equipped kitchen and many other extras. We were fortunate with the weather and spent most of the evening time outside enjoying a BBQ and the massive firepit. The location was perfect for anyone seeking a getaway from the hustle and bustle and we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a tranquil escape. Liz was a great communicator and the little touches she left for us were greatly appreciated. We will be returning soon hopefully

Cottage spotless, well equipped and location was idyllic… Also as some one with mobility issues the cottage ticked all the boxes…. Ie, walk in shower (wet room), all on one level and very spacious to move around.

Great for a weekend away with our dog!
Always grateful to find a dog friendly property where we can have peace and quiet for a few days. Would recommend to other dog owners, but note that the garden is not fully enclosed if your pup can't be off lead! Everything was as described :)

From booking to coming home at end of the holiday I couldnt have asked for a more from a property or owned. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and cozy cottage, owned had excellent communication and standing offer to contact her should we have had any queries or information about local area and amenities, then she would warmly welcomed a call. Beautiful rural location with picturesque surroundings on all sides, local town within easy reach, ideally located for activities as well as peaceful relaxing days in (I particularly enjoyed reading a book with my morning coffee in the summer house at the top of the back garden. Pet friendly. We will definitely be booking to come again and explore Scotland during different seasons of the year from this ideal base.

Just perfect
This is a little hidden Gem that met all our needs for our short break. Very tranquil. Really blew the cobwebs off our busy lifestyle. There is everythig you need and we will be returning for a longer break soon . Couldn't recommended enough.

Cosy cottage
Absolutely immaculate cottage tucked away in the middle of the gorgeous countryside but still only 5 minutes away from shops/pubs/takewaway. Liz was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had really quickly. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Lovely stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful, just what we needed. The log burner was an absolute dream, all be it we are absolute amateurs at getting a fire going but we worked it out eventually 😅 Very spacious and comfortable! Had everything you could need. Relaxing & cosy stay!
This is our 2nd stay at this cottage, we loved it so much we had to return! The location is just absolutely beautiful & serene especially at night when all the stars are out and it’s so calm you could hear a pin drop. The cottage itself is so cosy & well equipped. We relaxed immediately upon arrival.

Chapelton Cottage
We had a 3 night stay at Chapelton, The cottage was well equipped & comfortable, everything was as described in the description when booking, we had the dogs with us, they both settled down and enjoyed the surrounding walks.....we love Blairgowrie as a place and visit quite a bit but had the pleasure of staying at Chapelton cottage this time, to kick start our new year.......a 3 night relaxing stay was needed and enjoyed by all.

A gem In Perthshire
A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings of farm land. We enjoyed spectacular weather and spent some time in the garden and summer house which was lovely. The location is in easy reach of both Blairgowrie and Alyth, with plenty of walks and places to visit. The cottage was spotless, and had everything for our short stay. Liz, the host, made sure we had all our check in instructions and was easily contactable with prompt replies. Highly recommend this gem of a place in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Amazing find

Sehr schönes zu Hause im Herzen Schottlands

Short break
Lovely little cottage, clean and tidy. Nice quiet location. Liz was friendly and helpful. Was meant to be just the two of us but ended up having to take our son after he fell ill and couldn’t go on a trip with his friend as planned. Liz was very understanding and accommodating. Close to shops and restaurants but far enough away that you feel away from it all. Dogs enjoyed it too!

Great stay
We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. We walked into Alyth village and we loved the nearby village Blairgowrie (forgive me if I spelt this wrong!) Lovely town with many charity and antique shops. Major plus this is only 5 min drive from the property. We also had a fab drive into Edinburgh for the day! The only slight limitation was the shower and the temperature of the water and having to use bottle water. Otherwise a faultless visit! Liz was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for having us!

Lovely, spacious cottage.
Great cottage in the countryside. Liz's communication was fantastic and she gave us some good recommendations for the local area. Ideal location for the dog to run around, away from main roads. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Beautiful seculded cottage with everything on the doorstep
When we arrived in our dated camper there was a lovely sheet of snowy ice on the lead up to the cottage due to it being off the beaten track. Despite our efforts to get up there we simply couldn't, it was early evening and Liz was so accommodating, she came to our rescue and took all of us and our belongings to the cottage. (Thank you again) when we woke the next morning the views from the cottage were stunning. The cottage itself had everything we needed, the log burner was a lovely touch after a cold day outside walking. the town is local and has everything you need. Glenshee ski resort is a must visit, what an amazing scene to take in on the drive there, there was also some lovely little villages around. We had an amazing stay, we will definitely be back again.

Great little get-away!
Lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a cosy weekend in a rural spot. Weather wasn’t great during our stay but that didn’t matter much as we enjoyed board games by the log fire! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away from the city. Thanks Liz for a very enjoyable stay!

Wonderful stay, Liz is a gem
Scotland in November: low mist, wild winds and flooding but what a lovely 6 nights we had at Chapleton Cottage. Liz contacted us during our journey up from Cumbria to make sure we were all set upon arrival and that we could find the cottage as it was already dark. We felt we could contact her for anything and it was a pleasure to meet her on the second night so thank you very much Liz! The cottage is well equipped with utilities and supplies and Blairgowrie is a short drive for any essentials. The cottage is spacious and cosy, uncluttered and very clean. This was the perfect place to take some time out and go at our own pace, not a huge amount of touristy stuff to do in the immediate area but perfect for hiking and exploring followed by long evenings by the fire. It was just right for us. Thanks again Liz

Fantastic Cottage - Very Relaxing Location
We stayed in quite a few holiday cottages over the years and this one is up there with the best of them. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped kitchen & utility room. Very cosy at night with the log burner on. Nice big beds with immaculate bedding. Wet room is good although being 'well water' the pressure is a wee bit lacking but doesn't detract from it. Location is magic, total darkness and silence with nice wee walks up or down from the cottage. Car port was an added bonus. Garden is a good size which is not quite enclosed but our dog enjoyed wandering about in it. We will certainly be back - great cottage & great location.

Amazing!!!!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Chapleton Cottage, the setting/cottage was just what the doctor ordered, beautiful peaceful surroundings, the cottage had everything we needed, with some lovely touches. Our host kept in contact to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible for us, we managed to meet Alex just as we were leaving, such a lovely woman!! Perfect for dogs with some lovely walks, we ventured out for dinner on the Saturday night and had an amazing meal at “Littles Restaurant” the food was delicious. Definitely visiting again!! We love getting away for the weekends when we can and this place is by far the top of our list so far!!! Will be recommending to friends and family!! Thanks for having us Liz, your home is beautiful :-) Stephen, Laura, Emily, Lorena & our dog “Ella” x

Super ruhig gelegen und dennoch gute Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung Schottlands 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Ein super ruhiges Häuschen am Ende eines Feldweges. Im Hause ist alles vorhanden, was man auch Zuhause benötigt. Es ist sehr liebevoll eingereicht und die Gastgeberin kümmert sich herzlich um ihre Gäste. Mit zwei Schlafzimmern bietet das Häuschen Platz für eine Familie mit bis zu zwei Kindern. Trotz der ruhigen Lage ist man schnell auf einer größeren Straße und erreicht viele Ziele an der schottischen Nordseeküste und in den Highlands. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine Tankstelle befinden sich im nahegelegenen Ort. Wir freuen uns, dass Haus nun im 3 Versuch besucht zu haben und wünschen Liz alles Gute.

Danke Jens and Bea! Alles Gute. Review translation: A super quiet cottage at the end of a country lane. Everything you need at home is available in the house. It has been submitted with great care and the hostess takes great care of her guests. With two bedrooms, the cottage offers space for a family with up to two children. Despite the quiet location, you can quickly get to a major road and reach many destinations on the Scottish North Sea coast and in the Highlands. Shops and a gas station are in the nearby town. We are happy to have visited the house for the 3rd time and wish Liz all the best.

Family long weekend
Chapleton Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area abut also as a haven to get away and relax. Spotlessly clean and Liz was very helpful with recommendations. We visited the Hermitage Trail, Glamis Castle and Forfar Loch parkrun.

Outstanding - the perfect peaceful getaway.
We had a perfect stay at Chapelton Cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, clean and well-equipped with everything you might need for your stay including linens, towels, board games, firewood for the burner and even a dog bowl and lead. The little cottage is surrounded by rolling countryside where the only noises you’ll hear are beautiful wild birds and the occasional muntjac deer, and walled gardens where our puppy had the best time sniffing and rolling about in peace. We occasionally nipped into Blairgowrie and Athyl (less than 5 mins drive each way) for food to cook for ourselves but there are lovely pubs and restaurants in each town. The walk to Athyl is lovely, and is only around an hour but keep your dog (if applicable) on the lead through the working farmsteads. For everything else, Liz the owner was there to ask via Vrbo messenger and responds quickly with helpful info. Couldn’t recommend more - have a lovely stay!

Fabulous location and fantastic host
Beautiful cottage set in the Scottish countryside and only a 5 minute drive if that to the local lovely town of Blairgowrie. Great links into Perth and Dundee if cities are your thing but the best aspect of Chapelton Cottage has to be the local walks. You can go straight out the front door and go wandering for miles. The rooms are spacious and the garden is large, suited our 3 dogs perfectly. Beds were very comfy and the property was spotless when we arrived. Loved the addition of the log burning fireplace/stove and the kitchen had all modern amenities. The views from the cottage are stunning and even in bad weather you couldn't help but feel happy. Our little boy particularly loved the fact he could see tractors regularly from the bedroom window and enjoyed visiting the pigs at the farm. Fair to say, Chapelton Cottage has given us the Scottish but and we do not doubt we will be back again. Thank you Liz, you made everythiny all the easier and more enjoyable xxx

Very enjoyable stay
This lovely cottage is in a quiet countryside location but yet only a few miles from Blairgowrie. Cottage was spotlessly clean and really nicely furnished -everything you could ever need for a holiday stay. We spent 5 days there last week and had an amazing time. Liz is a very caring host and ensured we were comfortable through the stay. It was a perfect base for us to visit Glenshee ski centre, St Andrews and picturesque walks. We loved our stay so much that we think we'll be back.

Fantastic cosy cottage
The cottage was lovely and cosy. The location was easily accessible but quiet and secluded with lots of walks on your door step. It was within easy reach of local amenities too with lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants. There are lots of local activities and places within easy reach too. Overall, we can highly recommend this cottage and Liz the owner was very attentive and looked after us very well. Would definitely stay there again.

A few days of bliss
We absolutely fell in love with Chapelton Cottage, it was just what we needed for a getaway, the cottage is perfect and very well equipped. The surroundings are so peaceful and we enjoyed amazing sunrises in the morning and sunsets at night as well as some lovely walks in the nearby area with our family and dog. Thanks so much to Liz who was very accommodating, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

Dog friendly home from home
Owners directions spot on, great location , cottage had everything you need for a break away, comfortable bed, lovely kitchen, great layout for an active puppy. Very clean, & tidy. Just beautiful.
