The Woodland Chalet is conveniently located from the places that our family wanted to visit. We didn't have to pick up and move decor for our 18month old grandson. He had plenty of room to play and everyone else had plenty of room to relax. We definitely will be staying at the Woodland Chalet when we are back in the area.

Great house and wonderful view with nature abounding with Deer, Turkeys, Birds, and other wildlife. Access to the garage to park our motorcycles made this the perfect getaway for us to Sturgis and surrounding areas.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and the scenery is amazing! We live in a busy city so this was the perfect getaway! Quiet and peaceful. Definitely consider this property if you're going to be in the area! Taryn the host is great. Very friendly and answered all of our questions quickly. Hopefully, we'll get chance to make another visit!

My husband and I stayed at The Woodland Chalet with our three teenagers and my senior parents. There was plenty of space for everyone, and we enjoyed spending time together both indoors and outdoors—especially on the deck, front porch, and in the hot tub. The location is ideal: close to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and downtown Rapid City, yet nestled in a peaceful, tree-filled neighborhood with plenty of wildlife. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome kit and the well-stocked kitchen, which made our stay even more comfortable. If we return to the area, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Lovely

Our family stayed here for a week, and it was wonderful. Very relaxing, the hosts got back to me right away when i had a question. The check in was super easy, all the info was in the email that came when it said it would. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do.

If I could give this home 6 stars, I would! It is exactly as shown in the photos: beautiful, peaceful, clean and relaxing. Our family loved the location. There are wild turkeys, deer and bunnies constantly crossing the yard to the delight of my children. We enjoyed the hot tub and taking walks in the neighborhood. Everything in the home was clean and comfortable. It is obvious that Taryn takes great pride in this home as she is very responsive and has designed the home with care. We look forward to returning and will recommend this home to friends and family traveling to the Black Hills!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

Great!

This was the second time that our family stayed in this house, and it was wonderful again! The house is spacious, very comfortable and perfect for all ages. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, wildlife outside and the hot tub. We love that it’s just a short drive to Rapid City, and we hope to come back again!

peaceful and beautiful

The property is in a beautiful pine-wooded area away from the main roads. We enjoyed its convenience to Rapid City and points of interest in the Black Hills area. Watching the deer and turkeys that came by the back of the property was a plus, too.

Woodland Chalet

The house was clean and comfortable , and fully stocked with everything we needed. It is located in a very convenient area to all the National parks including, Badlands,wind caves,jewel caves, Custard State park, Crazy Horse,Mount Rushmore and so many other great attractions.

Group stayed for Sturgis Bike Rally

We absolutely loved the Woodland Chalet. The location was close to Rapid City but you were far enough to have a ton of wildlife. The checkout process was super simple and Taryn was fantastic to communicate with. My only suggestion would be to have a recliner or two for more seating after a long day of riding. Other than that, we would absolutely stay again!!

We really enjoyed staying here with our 2 kids and other family. Plenty of kitchen/cooking space. Hot tub is wonderful! Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Good bathrooms.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay - the backyard and deck are were amazing! We enjoyed many meals and evenings on the deck. We got to see wildlife right in the backyard every day! Very quiet, peaceful location. The spacious kitchen had everything we needed to make homemade meals throughout our stay. We loved it!

Variety get away

Property was great! We went to enjoy a variety of activities: ATV’ing (had access to National forest just down the road)”, hiking and sightseeing. Was able to enjoy all from property. Manager was so responsive with any question and very clear with responses. Hot tub was high quality and great way to relax at end of day. Enjoyed outdoor deck for coffee and for evening meal. Wild life every morning and evening to view and enjoy.

A great week in Black Hawk, thanks to the Woodland Chalet!

Where to start...The house was amazing. We are a group of 4 adults seniors who have travelled all over the country together in our classic cars. This was far and away the nicest, cleanest, most accommodating house we have ever rented (and we have rented quite a few!). Everything worked! Ok, one bulb in a nightstand lamp was going out, but the owners had spare bulbs at the house! The furniture was comfortable and plenty of seating for the 4 of us. It even had a very spacious 2 car garage with another refrigerator in it! Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, pots, pans and such. Dishwasher, washer, dryer everything works! Wildlife every day, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, tons of birds. The beds were all very comfortable, the AC worked great, the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were great! Tarin and Travis were the hosts and you could not ask for better people to have as hosts. They make sure all your needs are met from day one, they respond to your questions very quickly and are a fun and gracious young couple with a couple of cute kids too! They live in the general area. It is in a great location too. A quiet property with neighbors, but nobody right on top of you. Wooded, natural and so relaxing. It is also a great place to use as a hub to go out and visit all the national and state parks in the area, Rushmore, Crazy House, Deadwood, Leed, Walls Drugs and other places. All 4 of us were more than happy with the Chalet, you will be too!
