Randy and Arlene have a truly beautiful home and the view is amazing. Everything you could ask for to make your visit comfortable. We will definitely be back and will recommend this cozy home. A 10 out of 10

Thanks to Arlene and Randy for an awesome 5 night stay in their well stocked ( couldn’t think of one thing that was not there that one needed) cozy cottage right across road on St Margaret’s Bay . You drive up to a bright turquoise home with a side and front deck with lots of chairs overlooking the ocean with decorative beach theme and a beautiful yard filled with lupins and annual pots of flowers . Arlene greeted us and showed us everything inside the cottage . Loved all the extras like seasonings, oil, plastic wrap , bags, tin foil . New big washer/ dryer . All the pics on the walls made it very homey . Scads of blankets and pillows and so appreciated the memory foam pillow. Great location .. 40 mins to Lunenburg, 30 mins to Halifax and 35 mins to Peggy’s Cove . Two big stores( Sobeys and Atlantic Superstore ) 10 mins away . So much to see in the area . Arlene and Randy were so helpful in things to see and do . Weber bar b Que to cook with and Randy set up a lobster pot on the deck for us to cook lobster one night . Would highly recommend this lovely rental . There is a cottage on other side that shares the laundry but decks about 10 ft apart and have privacy lattice between so feel very private still .

Great location with easy driving access to many local sites. Hosts were both helpful and knowledgeable which made planning a breeze. My young kids loved the little beaches by the cottage, watching the boats and birds, and was their favorite part of our trip.

Great cottage with super hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Spotlessly maintained with great outside deck. Central to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Lunenburg. I highly recommended this property.

Clean and well kept cottage. Handy to small beaches and restaurants in Hubbards. Bathroom sink is tiny and a little awkward to use. No hairdryer and no safety shower mat (if you have mobility issues) so bring those.

Randy and Arlene were very nice and excellent hosts, checking in with us each day to make sure we had everything we need and letting us know about any events going on in the area. (Randy even offered me his shop vac to clean up all the sand in my rental car from the beach) The cottage is beautifully decorated inside and out and very well equipped with everything you need, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, all you need to bring with you is food and drinks. The front and side decks are very spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. We had great weather for our stay and can’t wait to come back next year.

Incredible view of the North Atlantic from the front deck of the cottage. Excellent access to the beaches of the South Shore. Host has a great knowledge of the area and fantastic recommendations for sights and meals. The cottage is fully prepared for anything and everything. A phenomenal place to stay.

We stayed at this beautiful gem for 3 nights…it was hard to leave…we were greeted by the host Arlene & Randy on our arrival who are just the most amazing folks…the cottage was tastefully decorated and welcoming…we were celebrating our Anniversary and we were surprised to see a basket of goodies with lovely hand painted cards of Arlene’s for us…this cottage had everything we needed and more…comfortable and very clean….we came to relax cook our own meals and enjoy the view…that’s what we did…the deck on the front was a great size with a covered porch to keep out of the sun if you wish or sit on the deck in the sun and a large very comfortable table with great size chairs to have our meals in comfort. Our side deck was amazing for morning coffees or afternoon drinks..,beautiful colourful comfortable Adirondack Chairs… the high end BBQ was great to cook our food to perfection. The cottage had all the comforts needed…we enjoyed Prime & Netflix movies at the end of the evening…quiet and peaceful The view well that was the very best…walks along the beach…beach areas all along here..beach glass finds were exciting… We enjoyed visiting Lunenberg…Mahone Bay…Chester & Hubbards. All so close by.. Our fav was the Hubbards Barn Farmers Market…all on the open field and barn on Saturday morning…so many amazing vendors and delicious cuisine.., We are ready to book next year… Thank you to the most amazing host Randy & Arlene Wanda & Paul Amherst NS

My husband and I stayed with our two kids ages 9 and 12. Randy and Arlene were excellent to work with with plenty of local suggestions for things to do, restaurants to visit and loaned us equipment for our very own lobster boil on our deck! The cottage is an excellent pivot point for Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg (don’t miss the much quieter Blue Rocks and restaurant “The Deck”), and Halifax. Plenty of sand and rocky beaches for beach combing and sea kayak rentals. What a very special vacation! We were all sad to leave. ❤️🇨🇦❤️

We picked this location for the closeness to my mother in Hubbard's and we were able to use the little blue cottage as a middle point and we got to do all of our visiting. Peggy's Cove, Bridgewater ,Mahon Bay ,Chester and Lunenberg. It was amazing!. Randy and Arlene are the most gracious host you can imagine.
