Nice and cozy atmosphere/decor, very clean, perfect for a stay-in weekend getaway. Sizeable bathroom and shower. Only hiccup was that, although listing does specify "basic soaps," it would have been nice to have something other than hand soap (like body wash) available for the recommended pre-and-post hot tub shower. VERY quiet peaceful location. Hot tub was very clean and well maintained, albeit a teensy cramped to try and fit more than 2 adults. Very comfortable beds and furniture, plenty of towels, linens, and blankets. Excellent wifi signal. Lots of lighting. Plenty of cookware. Driveway was easy to drive into/park/manouver in. Would absolutely recommend.

A quiet retreat away from the fireworks

My neighborhood is WWIII during the first week of July and my dog gets very angry at the sound so I was looking for somewhere to get away from it all. This was that place. We had a wonderful time hiking Chimney Rock and walking around Asheville. Great location. Close to everything and quiet. Definitely will make it a yearly trip.

Wedding Anniversary Weekend

I decided to take the wife away from the chaotic Charlotte hustle bustle for our 12 year wedding anniversary - and this spot did not disappoint. I had no idea Bat Cave was literally cut off from the outside world after Helene. Having to drive through the town and seeing the remnants of what had happened was heart breaking. We will be praying for the Bat Cave community and will return soon to support the locals!

Girls weekend

The property and cabin was just as described. The cabin was very clean. We had all the comforts of home. The trail up to the cemetery was an unexpected find. It was a geat place to ring in my 50th birthday. We will definitely be visiting again. Quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked. I would recommend this cabin if you want a nice quiet and peaceful stay away from day to day. I also chose this cabin because of the area. Wanted to give back to community any way possible since the Hurricane. Thank you for a great getaway!

Family getaway

We loved staying here. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. Although we were well prepared for our stay, we could have come unprepared and unpacked and enjoyed it just as much. The house was generously stocked with everything you could need to stay comfortably. Also, the property is beautiful and quiet. It is quite a trip to the closest grocery store though. We will be staying again.

Grandma’s Cabin

This cabin is very nice. It was perfect for mine and my husband’s 39th anniversary! It was one of the most relaxing trips we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful porch. Wish it would have been a little bit cooler and less rain, but it was still nice. We would rent this cabin if coming back to the area! The Hultin’s!

Love it

Always love visiting Grandma's cabin. House keeper could do a little better with the cleaning, especially when you're paying a cleaning fee. Shower head is covered in mold and mildew. Other than that it's the perfect place for a getaway.

Great location and property

Amazing, quiet and off the beaten path. Allows you to stay home and spend time with family or just a few minute trip to multiple activities. We visited Pisgah, Hendersonville, DuPont, Chimney Rock and had plenty of time to be back and enjoy the local chimney rock brewery on the river. It’s a must stay!!!!

Quiet & Central

We enjoyed a four night getaway over the July 4th holiday to get away from fireworks for our doggo. That worked out perfectly. In addition we were close to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure and even Hendersonville with everything the little towns have to offer. We're hikers and there were several great hiking spots nearby. All in all a very good stay.

Cute, cozy cabin!

Grandma's cabin is so cozy and adorable! It is comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. We loved our weekend Easter stay. The cabin is surrounded by woods but you are not far from town and things to do. I loved sitting on the front porch listening to the birds in the morning and drinking hot tea and soaking in the hot tub at night after a day hiking at Chimney Rock (SO many stairs! :-)) . One night while we were sitting around the fire pit we even heard a wolf howling in the distance! There are lots of cute shops in the town of Black Mountain and the pizza and salad at My Father's Pizza restaurant was delicious! We'd stay again!

We love the cabin! Outside is very nice with space for kids to play, a fire pit, hot tub & trails to explore. Inside gives you that cabin vacation feeling. The decor, the style of the rooms. There was tons of movies & some games. Our family had a great time!
