"FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊"

"Stayed here many times it’s good value nice place to stay with good food"

"Very welcoming and efficient staff at reception, self check in also available. We stayed in a family double room with 2 large, comfortable beds. Tea and coffee available, but no biscuits though, and 2 glasses in the room but no water which was a little strange. Good size desk for working on, if travelling on business, with plenty of sockets including USB points as well as more socket/USB by the bed, which is always handy. wifi had a very good signal and easy to connect to. Iron, ironing...

"Schönes großes Zimmer und Bad. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Großer Parkplatz. Nicht viel in der Umgebung fußläufig zu erreichen."

"The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole hotel. The bed was very comfy. The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful stay."

"Great service given an upgrade which was amazing. Will definitely stay again."

"Es un hotel viejo al que le falta renovación. Exteriormente está bastante decaído. Interiormente también le falta renovación. La habitación era amplia aunque en un 3er piso sin ascensor y con muchas escaleras angostas."

"Es un lugar muy simpático, un pub inglés con habitaciones arriba. La nuestra era muy agradable, con el encanto de los lugares que se han mantenido sin grandes cambios. La limpieza nos pareció absolutamente adecuada, y el baño muy correcto. El desayuno estuvo bien."

"We found all staff so friendly and helpful. Entering the hotel gave a feeling of relaxation comfort and homely. Variety of food choices giving tasty evening meals and breakfast although I thought it too much to charge an extra £10 each for a fried breakfast whereas other hotels it’s included in the room cost. Our room was very comfortable with a superb shower"

"Staff made the experience - they were exceptional. Really helpful and friendly. Having the garden gate opening directly onto the New Forest was a huge bonus, especially as we were travelling with our dog."

"Un excelente servicio, desde la recepción y todo el personal del hotel."

"Nice place and perfect location"

"Fantastic. Really need to keep that a secret!"

"The property doesn’t have air conditioning. If you’re planning to come during summer, think twice because it’s hard to sleep with this hot weather."

"The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton."
