"We had a lovely stay at Harbor Cottage. On the harbor just off the ferry exit. Communication was great & we accessed the cottage easily. Everything was clean & comfy. Even had Sky TV which can be rare. Kitchen had most everything you could need. Only issue was the slats on both beds kept falling. "

"Room was perfect. View from the room looking over the harbour. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the portions were large. No skimping on anything. "I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. We found the complaints baseless. The Shore is an annex to the larger Kirkwall Hotel. Check in/out is handled at the Kirkwall. The room, while a little musty smelling until you open a window, was fine. It was immaculately clean. There was plenty of hot water, and the breakfasts were basic but tasty. I would stay here again. "
