"Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b...

"Decor is rather dated. We didn't mind too much.
TV. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Complimentary bottles of water,tea/coffee bags, biscuits replenished every day. The bedding and towels were clean, white and fresh.
Breakfast was lovely, great choice. I thought it was going to be a buffet style but the cooked food was served at the table.
We had a birthday meal with 2 other couples. The food was really good.The chef even came out to speak to us,which was a nice touch .

"Lovely food, well cooked. Excellent menu. Welcome on arrival; and personal help and kindness beyond expectation.
Quiet and very interesting village, and church, and post office.
Attractive ancient building and courtyard. Simple accommodation, comfortable and completely sufficient.

"Great location, but room was in poor condition (mouldy tiles, discoloured toilet seat, cracks & holes in the walls) & not clean. If you have mobility issues, there are lots of steps.Breakfast available if arranged the previous day. Free parking on the road, but spaces are taken quickly"
