We stayed here first last summer, and it was nine of us all together. Everyone had a nice time, and the house/ yard worked out well for all the kids.
This trip it was just four of us, and we stayed a little longer. We appreciate the space it has inside and out.
It is a trek to almost everything except Big Timber. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone staying. Big Timber has a very small grocery store and a butcher in town. Livingston is about 30 mins away, and there is a decent grocery store there. There are also two decent coffee shops and a bakery in Big Timber.
It's a very beautiful and peaceful location to be. You can hear the Yellowstone River from the yard and screened in the porch. You can see the mountains on clear days. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful with all the open space to see for miles.
Mosquitoes vary. Last summer, the moquitoes were around after mid afternoon and evening. This year, we didn't notice them much at all. This year might have been a little cooler as well.
The owners are very responsive. They live across the open field, maybe a 5 min drive away. At no point did we feel crowded by them. Linda asked if she could come by to meet us and asked what time would work.
