Quick weekend trip and escape from the desert heat. Amazing views, incredible climate, very relaxing! The pictures don't tell the whole story as the property is deceptively spacious yet cozy. Definitely will return!

This day was very peaceful and highly recommended for anybody who want to get away from it all. It feels like camping yet with all the comforts and accommodations of a five star hotel. I will be coming back for more!

Enjoyed our stay and our teenagers were impressed by this place. It was perfect for our family of four. Clean and exactly as described in listing. Take snacks and food because it’s an adventure getting in and out.

10/10. Wow. We had such a wonderful stay at Sunshine Alley. It exceeded our expectations! We took in some local hiking and had a lovely picnic on Sand Dollar Beach during our visit. The views from the house are stunning. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you'll need. Melissa and Daniel were there to welcome us. They were so nice! Dave was quick to reply to my messages/texts when I had questions. Can't say enough great things about our stay. We will definitely be back.

Sitting on the Edge of a Beautiful World!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful home with one of our best friends. We wanted a long weekend of hiking, relaxing, reading, and most generally, re-energizing. At least four elements put this property at the top of our favorite stays…the views from every room are spectacular! We are fortunate enough to have stayed in many high-end rental homes/cabins/hotels and this property offers one of the best views of our gorgeous Big Sur coastline. I can’t say enough about it!! The owners, Dave and Nicole responded clearly and quickly to our questions, which allows the pre-planning to run so smoothly. Next, this home is set up in a thoughtful and detailed manner (i.e. a note posted above the radiant heat thermostat to explain its operation) which was delightful to encounter each day of our stay! And perhaps I’m saving the best for last…The caretakers of the property Melissa annd Daniel are sweet, competent, never intrusive, and available to answer any questions. The property is fairly isolated and off the grid, so we were reassured knowing they were fairly close, should we need them…but we didn’t!I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience a slice of Big Sur heaven!

Amazing Big Sur getaway

We enjoyed this stay a lot, breathtaking views and gorgeous house , that provides everything you need. Very comfy bedrooms , garden, patio. Very clean! And hosts left us fresh lettuce from the garden which was a highlight, very delicious. Thank you

Amazing experience

Amazing views and the house was exacting as pictured. The house was spotless and all of the comforts were there. Good quality cookware, knives and dishes, everything provided was top notch. Beautiful landscaping and nothing but peace and quiet. The owners were quick to answer any questions I had and the caretakers, Daniel and Melissa were so nice and were more than happy to help with all of our needs. It was a perfect vacation.

Best place to enjoy the beautiful Bigsur

We just completed our third stay at this beautiful Sunshine Alley and we loved it as much as ever! The peaceful ambiance and stunning views make it an ideal retreat. Stunning property, gorgeous views

We spent 4 days, beautiful property, gorgeous views, great kitchen, and comfortable cozy furniture. The hosts were very responsive to our inquiries. They were also very truthful about the challenge of the steep driveway, so we were prepared for the adventure. We certainly felt the view and privacy were worth the drive.

That view!

Took a short holiday road trip with the wife and dog and the house was exactly as listed. The road up has the potential to be a little tricky in very wet weather, but it wasn’t bad in the December drizzle. The house was stocked with all the basics you might need, but come prepared, it’s a long way back to civilization. And it’s all about that incredible view from the deck!
