This cabin was perfect! There were so many perfect little touches that made our stay even better. The dogs had a blast in the yard and the humans enjoyed the jacuzzi! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was very good quality and soft. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Very close to everything- highly recommend!

The property is beautifully maintained and was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, especially the hot tub, while our dogs loved exploring the secure and spacious yard. The host left several fun, thoughtful treats for us, which was a lovely touch. The host herself is exceptionally nice, and we are confident she would go out of her way to assist with any needs. We would absolutely love to rent this property again and highly recommend it to others!

Hands down the best rental we've had in big bear. Beautiful property and well maintained. Owner is fantastic and very communicative. It was an amazing romantic getaway for a long weekend. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

What an incredible cabin! Loved every minute of our stay there...every space was immaculately clean, beds were so comfortable, backyard was the perfect space for our family to relax in the evenings. There is thought put into every room and item in this cabin--Jen's hospitality is tangible in all the little touches. My son had a blast playing the cornhole, ping pong, and darts. Hope to return soon!

Big Bear was an R&R trip for all of us. Winterland surpassed our expectations and provided such a thoughtful, warm and welcoming experience. The home is supplied with a variety of items to make a great stay for any guest. They also had the most perfect welcoming gifts - we thoroughly enjoyed and used every single day. Definitely recommend and we would stay here again.

We had an amazing time and can't wait to return! The cabin was very clean, beds were extra comfy and hot tub was wonderful. We went hiking nearby and the village is very close with lots of food and shopping. The host was very responsive and made our stay fantastic! The backyard is fenced and our little doggie enjoyed the big beautiful yard.

Easy check-in in a great neighborhood. We loved that it was so dog friendly and that our dogs could roam the fenced in yard. There were dog bowls and even some dry food for them. The beds were comfortable and the linens were high quality. On our 2nd night the power went out from about 7:30p till 1am. The host texted us promptly and let us know that a tree fell on a power line. We appreciated the lanterns and electric candles in the home. We fell asleep with the windows open so got the true cabin experience until the a/c kicked back on. Wish we could have used the hot tub but due to the power outage, we didn't get in. It was very clean though. Will definitely return. Big Bear is beautiful even in August!

Everything was at least as we expected or exceeded our expectations. My wife and I stayed with our pup and had all of the amenities we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, plenty of linens and pillows in the bedrooms and lots of blankets in the living room to use on the couches. On top of that there was a welcome basket with chapsticks, a candle and a small bag of coffee for us as well as bowls, treats and a small sample of food for our pup as well, which we always appreciate as big dog people. The location was great for us, short drive to the lake, the village, golf course, etc and the neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard and used the hot tub and fire pit plenty. Overall, I have no complaints and would 100% stay here again.

Winterland Cottage is absolutely fabulous! We, 2 seniors and our dog, stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. Jen was so pleasant to deal with and communication was a breeze. The cabin has everything you could possibly want for a perfect Big Bear experience. The location is ideal...close to everything yet in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved playing ping pong, ring toss darts and corn hole. There are numerous games and puzzles available as well as a hot tub in the backyard. Speaking of the backyard, we truly enjoyed early mornings and evenings watching all of the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. In fact, a bluejay left a feather for us! Inside, the kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals and the beds are so comfortable. We really hated to leave and anticipate making Winterland Cottage our home away from home any time we visit Big Bear.

Super relaxing stay

My wife and I wanted a relaxing escape from the phoenix heat and had a minimal agenda when coming to Big Bear. This home met all the requirements for a cozy, dog friendly, clean environment and all the accommodations one would want. Loved relaxing on the deck in the evenings with the fire pit. The yard also had plenty of room for our pup to run around and be safe & secure.

This was an amazing place. The host was responsive and helpful. Everything was nicely decorated and there was a lot to do - ping pong, jacuzzi, corn hole. You could tell Jen took pride in her place. Best place I’ve ever stayed.

This is a beautiful home with a great location. The back yard is awesome. Our little dog loved it. The home has wonderful decor and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. This home is very well stocked with whatever you need and the host is very friendly and responsive. We look forward to another stay!

Such a peaceful place! I hardly wanted to leave the back yard. We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife, including the nest of robins and a million chipmunks. We brought bird seed for the feeder and unsalted peanuts in the shells for the chipmunks and squirrels. The cabin is close to the entrance to the Alpine Pedal Path, which was super convenient. Jen provided so many thoughtful touches! The only negative was that the motion sensing security light ruined our night vision, but on my next stay I'll bring something to put between us and the security camera, so that should solve the problem. We will definitely be back!

This property is very nice and cozy. The location is very convenient with two supermarkets located very close. Everything we wanted to do was within a ten minute drive it seemed.The owner was very pleasant, responsive, and genuinely cared about the quality of our stay.We will likely return again.

Wonderful Stay!

This was our first time in Big Bear & we had such a wonderful time at the house! It was exactly as described & the host was so communicative and helpful during the entire process. The bed is extremely comfortable. And the house is very well located. We've already been recommending the cabin to our friends and very much looking forward to returning :)

Cozy and Comfortable Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at Winterland Cabin. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The yard area was the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee and for the dog to run and play.One of our favorite touches was the thoughtful goodies they had for us to use and keep as momentos. Jennifer was responsive and respectful, making the entire experience easy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

My husband, daughter and two young granddaughters stayed three nights in this beautiful mountain cabin. I rely a great deal on reviews when renting a vacation home. The Winterland cabin provided what we had hoped for based on other reviews, but still exceeded my expectations. This is an adorable cottage, in a quiet and stunning neighborhood. The house is immaculate, very well maintained and stocked. The owners truly thought of everything, from the amenities for my dog, throw blankets in the living room, decorative battery candles throughout, to the little black towels in the bathroom to wash off your makeup. I truly felt like a valued guest. Bedrooms are comfortable and provide plenty of storage. Bathroom included some essentials, plenty of towels, and the shower has great water pressure (important). The location of this house is perfect for accessing many stores, and Big Bear activities. Less than 5 minutes from the Village and spots such as Boulder Bay Park, and lake swim area, and Mineshaft Coaster, Alpine and Water Slides. We even found a great spot, only a few minute drive, for a picnic lunch, at Juniper Point, with a hike along the lake. There are a lot of things to encounter from this cabin’s location. The backyard is beautifully, landscaped with everything to create what I described as a dreamy, tranquil oasis. Also, the kids and my dog really enjoyed the yard. Finally and importantly, the care and responsiveness of the host, Jen, was over and above. Thanks, Liz M.

Big Bear Weekend

We decided to head up to Big Bear to enjoy the early "summer" activities and found this gem of a property to stay at. I say "summer" in quotations because a late snowstorm came through one evening while we were there. Luckily this perfectly appointed house had a cozy fireplace and hot tub to keep us warm during the unexpected weather. We had the opportunity to also enjoy the backyard since the first day was sunny with warm weather. We loved our time at the house and will be returning (in real summer) with our pup in tow. Also, the owner was so responsive and accommodating anytime we reached out to her; that always makes the stay that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to get back!
