The house was sufficient for our group although we all agreed we would not rent this unit again. Here are just a few of the reasons why: one wash cloth in the entire house for 11 guests, no pot holders ( 1 dishtowel) in the kitchen, dirty and run down carpeting, creaking floors, lots of lights didn't work, back deck needed cleaning but no broom any where to be found, no vacuum to clean up if needed, pool sticks had no tips ( we played with the opposite ends), lots of trouble with TV sound ( it was way too low with the regular TV on and way too loud with a DVD on), kitchen tiles literally fell off the counter and you literally have to walk across overgrown weeds to get to front porch. It wouldn't take much to make this a place worth going to. I don't ask for much but I want the outside to be clean and manicured. I want there to be sufficient towels and washcloths. I want there to be pot holders to get hot dishes out of an oven. I'd love a broom and vacuum to clean up each day. With 11 guests, lots of crumbs and stuff gets dropped. How can you clean up after yourself without a broom or vacuum? In other words, you get what you pay for. Don't rent this place if you wouldn't be happy in a Motel 6 or real budget style place. Pay more and get something with more pride of ownership if you want it to be a special family vacation.
