Good sized house for 8 adults +2 kids. Within convenient location to lake, winter sports, restaurants and stores. Nice kitchen size and plenty of pots and pans, utensils. Big table, although be careful because it's wobbly. Big fenced- in yard.
We had a great time and do not want to be negative but mangagement/owner and renters may want to know about these issues that can be easily fixed:
-all mattresses except the master bedroom are uncomfortable, and new pillows are in order. Everyone had trouble sleeping. Extra pillows without pillow cases found in the closet have big dark stains. What was under the ones we used with pillow cases on them? Chose not to look.
-toaster did not work, so used oven broiler to toast bread. No hot pot holders or oven mitts available so used the 1 and only kitchen towel, which led to burned fingers because the towel was not big enough and slipped. Yes, truly, someone has blisters on their fingers. We resorted to using bath towels as hot pot holders.
-upon arrival the downstairs toilet was leaking at the valve (someone was already aware of this problem because there was a wash clothe under the leak) and the water in the toilet was yellow. We contacted the management company and it was fixed the next morning. Good thing!
-The back sliding glass door is very hard to lock. The screen door lock is completely broken.
-Rug in the play room smells like dog. Got used to it.
-Only one small hook for towels in the master bath. We draped towels over chairs and door knobs. Not a biggie, but adding a couple of towel racks would do the trick.
-Could use a decent broom and dust pan, and vacuum that picks up dirt.
-Managment company's written agreement said there was only room for 3 cars to park, and no street parking, so we crammed and stuffed food and supplies in our cars. When we arrived & parked, the sign on the front yard indicated ok for 4 cars which makes more sense.
It would probably be acceptable for a group of young people who just want to snowboard and crash somewhere.
