This is a great place to stay if you have kids. Our kids were very entertained with the game room and movie room. Also close to the village and other eateries.

We had a wonderful 8-day stay and would absolutely recommend this home and host. The house was comfortable, well set up for families, and exactly as described. It was clear a lot of thought went into making it a welcoming, fun, and functional space.The perimeter fencing was nice for our 75-lb dog to explore during the day, although I should note that the yard is not separated into front and backyard spaces. At times, our dog would go out the back door and want to come in through the front door, even at night. There isn’t a way to fully contain a dog in just the backyard, but once we understood the layout, it was manageable and our dog loved the size of the yard.The location is excellent. It’s quick to get onto the main road, an easy walk to Big Bear Mountain Brewing (we recommend the Cuban sandwich), and great for neighborhood walks with a dog. The area still feels open and we even spotted a bobcat across the street one morning, which was a fun Big Bear moment.The kitchen is well equipped and made it easy to prepare several meals at the house. We also appreciated the layout of the home, with the upstairs and game room being more separate, allowing the kids to get loud while adults still had a quiet space.While no one hopes for an issue during a stay, we did have a toilet flood, and the hosts were incredibly responsive, with a plumber there within an hour, which was very reassuring.Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Host was welcoming. The property was marketed as pet friendly with a fully enclosed yard. Unfortunately, due to a storm, the gate that blocked the driveway blew over prior to our arrival. This was not repaired during our stay so we were unable to let our dogs roam in the yard as there is no barrier between the front and back yards. Outside of that, our stay was wonderful.

Cabin exceeded expectations. Didn’t realize how close it was to town and all the fun activities until we got there in person. In fact, when our family did the Alpine Slide activities it was easier for us to walk over than to try and fight the traffic and parking situation at that tubing hill/activity area. Very roomy and comfy, home away from home. Great hosts and seamless check in and check out. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time, the beds were really comfortable. The patio out front was relaxing. The short walk to the brewery was excellent. The village and alpine slide was really close and the kids had a blast, feeding the ducks at the lake.

Unfortunately, this property did not live up to our expectations. The house is very oddly laid out, with the stairs in the back of the house and the upstairs pretty separated from the rest of the house. Our younger kiddos were too afraid to sleep upstairs because of its isolated footprint. The kitchen is quite small. Older and small appliances. The master bedroom does not have an attached bath, which is a little surprising for this price point. The yards front and back are not separately gated off. You must have the front sliding wood gate closed to have a "secured" yard. The yard was overgrown and not very well kept. There is a nice patch of turf in the front that was very nice. A good, dedicated, maintenance would definitely improve things. Many of the windows and doors would not close or lock properly and the front gate often fell off the track. The house overall was clean, but the windows and door frames were extremely dirty. The game room was very nice and our kids enjoyed playing ping pong and shuffleboard. Very comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. Hot tub was nice. Movie room was a great benefit and the huge beanbags were super cool. Overall, we would not stay here again.

Family Weekend Getaway

Its been a good 15 years since our last visit to Big Bear and our first during the summer. We love skying, our destination getaway has always been Mammoth or Lake Tahoe. However, with two young grandbabies the drive is a bit much. Will admit it was a perfect choice for an weekend getaway, beautiful drive up, only a little over an hour and a half drive. The weather conditions perfect all weekend. We selected this property due to its location, minutes away to the village and lake. The children loved the movie and gameroom, walking and playing along the lake and the Pirates ship tour. Your cabin was clean, stocked with everything we needed and easy check in/out. Thank you again for a great family mini geataway!

Overall great property for families with an awesome game room with pool table, arcade, and shuffle board and a movie/entertainment room with giant bean bag chairs. Beds were comfortable. Home was clean and well appointed. Nice porch area for morning coffee. Close to the Alpine slide (could walk there), The Village and Big Bear Marina. Maybe the only drawback was lack of AC or good ventilation upstairs because in the summer heat, it got quite warm even with the fans going. But overall a great place for a Big Bear family vacation.

Lovely home, we can't wait to come back!

House is great place to stay for a family. There was so much to do in the house and it was very centrally located. The property is completely fenced in which made it safe for dogs as well as kids to be outside. We loved the game room!

Overall impression was that it checked most boxes for a good vacation with kids and pets;fully fenced yard and porch were great for relaxing. My complaints are that the cabin really needs a deep clean especially in the kitchen. The back yard and grill were showing some serious need for TLC. All in all, I'd say for the price, location, and convenience its a good choice.

So happy we stayed at this property! It was a perfect fit for our family vacation, which included our 2 dogs. The game room and movie room kept the kids (13 yo and 19 yo) both occupied in our downtime and the house was in the perfect location to hit all of the activities we wanted to do without driving or even walking far. Definitely looking forward to another stay here!

Beautiful home

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Only one draw back, it wasn't senior friendly. Without my son, we would have had trouble with the sliding gate to the driveway, taking off cover to spa, getting the TV working,and removing ping-pong top to be able to play pool table.We did enjoy the beautiful decor of this home as well as the quiet morning and cooler temperatures.

Wonderful place, family loved it!!

This was a great house which exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our family. 2 boys 6 and 8 loved it. Grandparents are mom dad aunt uncle. We all had plenty of space for cars and the proximity to town was perfect. Beautiful place and felt like home. Thank you for your hospitality!

Family Fun

This is a very special cabin with great amenities! Our family consisted of four adults and three children ranging in age from 15, 11 and 7 years old. The game room with the shuffle board and pool table was a hit for all! The movie room with giant bean bags was a perfect place to hang out and have a family movie night. Very close to the village and Alpine Slide. Even a few restaurants within walking distance which was nice. Our family drives up to Big Bear every winter for a little snow vacation. We will definitely come back and stay at this cabin again.

Cozy Mountain Nest in Big Bear

The house was immaculate and beautifully styled, with thoughtful details throughout. Communication with Hayley was easy; she was quick to respond and ensured our stay was enjoyable, offering great local recommendations. The place looked just like the photos and was conveniently located near attractions.The beds were super comfy for our family of five. We had a blast in the evenings in the game room with pool and ping pong, followed by relaxing in the jacuzzi. The theater room, with its large screen and streaming options, was a hit with my boys. We also appreciated the hot showers and nice bathroom toiletries. The kitchen was well-stocked for quiet meals at home.We highly recommend this gem in Big Bear!

Great house in a great location

The place was great. It was probably more room than we needed for our family of 6, but that wasn't a problem. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including a well stocked coffee bar. There were plenty of things to do in the house, shuffleboard, pool, foosball, TVs all around, and big collections of DVDs and board games. The place is in a great location for things to do in Big Bear. It's near town, and we could walk to Alpine Slide and to the Big Bear Mountain Brewery. It was great for a weekend away from home.

Fun in Big Bear

Our family had a great stay at this cozy Big Bear cabin. It is a perfect combination of comfort and convenience. The adults enjoyed the atmosphere and amenities. The kids were overjoyed with all of the entertainment options! They did not want to leave! Haha! We cannot wait to come back!

Perfect for 2 families and dog friendly!

Game room was so fun, we played tons of ping pong. House set up was great as the adults took the rooms downstairs and plenty of room and spaces for the kids upstairs. Hot tub was clean, coffee pods and Keurig was cute setup, board games were in great shape. We walked 2 min to the little bar and listening to some great music. Will definitely return!
