Spectacular Castle Home!

The property was clean, spacious, and had all of the amenities one could ever want. Eight of us stayed and never felt crowded or in each other’s way. Truly beautiful property!

Good for family and friends gathering

Perfect location! It’s a very nice place for family and friends to enjoy gathering together in woods yet still conveniently access to everything. Easy check in and out process and management team is answering questions promptly. Unfortunately, one of the shower knobs wouldn’t be turned off on the second night we stayed. So the shower wouldn’t stop running. Management sent Peter who is working hard to fix it. Because it was around 9pm and the parts were unavailable, he had to turn off the main water valve and come back in the morning. He offered an option that relocation for the whole group at night but we chose to stay due to inconvenience of packing up for us with seniors and kids. The next day morning he showed up as he promised and worked hard until we could finally use water to flush the toilet. We thank Peter for his hard work on the plumbing system which maybe a bit too old. That is the reason I have given 4stars overall. We understand things happen. It was inconvenient for a group of people without water to wash and flush toilets. Wished the person who took a shower has had taken the shower during daytime so that we would be outside while the water had to be shut off. Other than that, it was a great home away from home, love the kitchen with all things you need.

We were in town for the Spartan race and had a group of 10 adults with 4 children/infants. The house was very accommodating with plenty of room for all, activities for everyone, and in a great location.

Comfy, cozy and fun

It was so spacious with everything you could possibly need for a nice stay. We ended up needing extra blankets and linens, and a customer rep was very helpful in aiding us in finding some. Overall, it was such a great stay. It felt secure and comfortable. Thanks!! We definitely would come back to this place.

Nice house but feels like a rental property

I recently stayed with a group of 16 people. The house was spacious enough for all of us, the location to town was great and the fresh flowers were a nice touch; however, the house really felt like just a rental property and not a "castle". When we first entered the house the smoke detector was chirping because there were not any batteries in it; the knob for the oven was missing so we had to use a tool (that we brought) in order to be able to turn the oven on & then we had to guess the temperature of the oven the whole trip; mirrors were broken in the bathrooms; tiles were chipped; the light in the master bath shower wasn't working; an outlet faceplate was broken and posed a serious child hazard. Secondly, the property is advertised as being "fully fenced and gated" however the front gates are chain locked open so we were not able to close them to allow the kids full access of the property like we had anticipated. We were supposed to be given the access code to the front door at 4 PM through the AvantStay app and I had to call the company in order to get the code because it never showed up. And when we tried to enter the casita that required a separate code, I had to reach out again to the company to get that code. We weren't able to get full access of the house for 30 minutes after our check-in time. While all of these things may seem trivial, when you're spending the amount of money that we did on a property like this, you expect these little things to be taken care of and the check-in process to be much smoother.
