We had a fabulous time at Bear Lake Hideaway! It was very cozy and charming and though small, even our 6'2'' friend found the ceilings and showers fine. It is also extremely well insulated.
It was stocked with some basic essentials but there were a few items we would have expected that weren't available, like measuring cups, extra paper towels, extra trash bags, tape, superglue, and first aid items. The first aid kit had only gauze, though we donated a few band-aids. We also bought and left extra paper towels, trash bags, and WD40 which was needed on some doors and cabinets.
The main issue was the hot tub, which to be clear, does seem to work as intended, but the instructions for use were insufficient. We used the hot tub on night 1 and it was lovely, but we displaced a fair bit of water. When we tried to use it again on the last night (unbothered by the displaced water, since it should have been enough for us still), we found that the water was cold because the level wasn't high enough to engage the heating element. By then, it was too late to do much about it, but I wish we had been warned about this in the instructions and that there were directions on how to refill it.
