Positives: The cabin is large and a good size for big groups, we had 6 adults 3 kids, and 2 dogs and we all had our own space. The deck was nice with a large table and the location was decent. We were 6 minutes from the public boat launch/beach, and the city/ grocery shops, 15 minutes from the zoo. The hot tub was nice and clean as well and having a back yard was a plus.
Negatives: The cabin was falling apart. Within 5 minutes of arrival we had struggles with getting the door open as the key in the door knob would not turn, later on we found out why, as the entire handle came off in my hand when I simply opened the door. Thankfully we were able to get it back on and working. Most of the windows were difficult to open, and the beds were uncomfortable. The downstairs master bedroom bed is crooked and tilted up with a broken bed frame, the upstairs beds have springs you can feel in your back. The "updated" kitchen had broken parts in the fridge, and the dishwasher while working, was also broken, as well as one of the bar stools. The stove did not start with out a lighter. The BBQ had no shield so it was just cooking on open flame. The clothes washer was not working for our visit. The dart board had no darts as they were all broken and there was no chalk for the pool table. The upstairs bathroom was missing two tiles and you could see into the wall. The curtains were see through, and the pole over the couch continued to fall apart if we touched the curtains to open the windows.
Other Comments: If you are looking to stay in summer, take note theirs no A/C. Also note you are required to take all of your trash to an offsite dumpster, about 10 minutes away. We were required to report any initial damages within 1 hour of arrival, however as our stay went on we just kept finding more. Quite honestly I feel that I spent more than what the cabin was worth, and the pictures used to advertise are not updated.
