A Lovely location But Very Damp
The location of this chalet is lovely and the camp is nice and quiet. The view from the balcony is nothing short of stunning.
The Chalet is well equipped with pretty much everything you need and a nice starter pack with tea and coffee making supplies - the owner has gone above and beyond to ensure nothing is needed. The decor is a bit of a miss mash of styes - eclectic - but if you're not worried about the style then no problem.
Unfortunately the chalet is damp. Very damp. To the point that clothes we didn't wear had to be washed when we got home to get rid of the smell.
The water in the shower drain seems to be backed up, which doesn't help, and when you open and close the sliding door, you can actually hear water sloshing about in it.
The owner has provided a de-humidifier, but despite running this a couple of times, the water tank doesn't fill up so I'm guessing it doesn't work properly.
This is such a shame as the location is so nice. Fortunately, we had great weather while we were there so made sure kept it well aired but I imagine it would be a nightmare during a wet week.
We soldiered on and enjoyed our holidays, but potential renters should be made aware of this issue.
