My daughter and I had an incredible time at Maison Étoile. The setting was more beautiful than the photos and the accommodation's were perfect and exceeded our expectations. I especially enjoyed driving through endless vineyards and tree lined roads through the small villages. It felt so quintessential French. My daughter and I had our own rooms which was very nice and a special treat was having coffee outside by the pool each morning. The hosts were very welcoming and shared a list of local places to visit while in the south of France which we took them up on and they locations didn’t disappoint. I am already planning a return visit in order to check out all of the small wineries in the area.

Whole gite was excellent. Allocated parking space outside the property with option to park within grounds. Main bedroom had air conditioning which was a must as very warm at night. Property had own private pool which was a fabulous luxury. Owners Simon and Anna made us feel extremely welcome and left us to our own devices, being on hand if we needed them. They provided us with links to various locations to visit and parking advice in the bigger towns and cities. This was our first experience of rural France and it didn't disappoint.

Perfect spot

A really nice house in a lovely part of the countryside, perfect for a couple (but we also had a relative stay in the spare bedroom). Lots of space and everything we needed for our holiday. Comfortable bed and it was great to have aircon in the bedroom too. The owners are lovely and discreet, and had loads of local info for us. The garden and pool were just exceptional and we would definitely stay again. Oh and the local wine is very nice indeed!

Perfect Holiday

We have just returned from 10 days at this lovely gite. The welcome on arrival from Simon and Anna was perfect after a long drive. The gite had everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The pool was wonderful. Thank you, we would love to return.

Dieses Haus ist es einfach

Wir machen seit vielen Jahren als vierköpfige Familie Urlaub in Ferienhäusern und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Das Haus von Simon und Anna hat aber nochmal alles getoppt und wir würden es als das perfekte Ferienhaus beschreiben. Die Beiden sind sehr nette Gastgeber und bei Ankunft haben uns schon kleine Leckereien und Getränke erwartet, so dass man nicht gleich in den Supermarkt stürzen musste. Der Außenbereich/Garten ist wunderschön mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Erholen und Sonnen. Ganz toll ist die Barbecue-Ecke mit Außenküche. Die Einrichtung im Haus ist überaus liebevoll und lässt keine Wünsche offen, es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet und es gab sogar zusätzliche Handtücher für den Pool. Sogar eine komplette Ausstattung für einen Ausflug zum Strand war vorhanden (Sonnenschirm, Liegen, Kühlbox). Nach einer Woche wurden die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche gewechselt, das haben wir noch nie in vorher in einem Ferienhaus erlebt. Simon hat sich viel Zeit genommen, um uns Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants, Parkmöglichkeiten zu geben. Innerhalb von 30-60 Minuten erreicht man viele schöne Städte, Dörfer oder die Berge. Wir haben die zwei Wochen in Neffiès wirklich sehr genossen und würden das Haus jedem weiterempfehlen. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Fantastic stay… can’t wait to re-visit!!☀️

There just isn’t ANYTHING negative to say!!! We can’t wait to return :) Simon and Anna (the hosts) are fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble and they are extremely discreet and leave you to enjoy your holiday… but there when needed with help or advise. The gite itself is spotlessly clean, had good quality furnishings and is decorated beautifully with lovely little features and extras. We slept soundly and thoroughly enjoyed making the most of the heated pool and bbq. The Star Jasmin was out when we visited and the beautiful fragrance drifted in the breeze… we will always remember it!!! I took a lot of pleasure from the garden with its fig, lemon, kiwi trees and flowers and the evening lighting/lamps that illuminated the area. We were provided with a great welcome pack with local wine, cheese, bread, ham, croissants and butter… but supermarkets are easily and quickly reached by car, or there is a bakery in the village. Two excellent restaurants close by (5-10 minute walk) and a wine bar also. We would recommend to all, just book you won’t be disappointed, and we plan on rebooking for next year!

Tolles Haus mit freundlichen Gastgebern

Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub, bereits mit der Ankunft: Anna und Simon hatten den Kühlschrank gefüllt, so dass wir am ersten Tag nicht mehr einkaufen mussten. Simon hat uns eine super Übersicht gegeben, was man alles in der Umgebung unternehmen kann. Das Haus hat alles, was man benötigt und ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alle auftretenden Probleme werden umgehend behoben, ansonsten halten sich die Vermieter dezent im Hintergrund.

A 5 star experience!

Have just returned from Maison Etoile in Neffies after a two week holiday. I rarely write reviews so when I do it is about rewarding excellence. From arrival and the warm greeting from owners and great hosts - Simon and Anna, we found the gite met all our expectations. A stunning, quiet location with a pool (essential given the hot weather), a lovely main bedroom and accommodation in a village with two fantastic restaurants. Hosts were never intrusive but on hand to sort out issues and general queries, if required. A rare find and one we will return to!

Séjour merveilleux dans une propriété de rêve!

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans la propriété d'Anna et Simon, un couple très gentil, discret, chaleureux et disponible en cas de besoin. Nous avons reçu un accueil très agréable, merci pour toutes les gentilles attentions à notre arrivée, cela fait chaud au coeur. La maison est très belle, toute en pierres, fraîche, avec beaucoup de charme et de caractère, la décoration est magnifique! Elle est super bien équipée, elle dispose de tout ce dont on a besoin, la literie est très confortable, grands moustiquaires, airco... le top! Tout est propre et impeccable (draps, serviettes, essuis changés chaque semaine, ça sent bon le frais). La piscine privée est très agréable, très beau cadre, aucun vis-à-vis. La situation de la maison est au calme, c'est très reposant. A 5 minutes en voiture, un Super U, une bonne boulangerie (le Fournil de Benjamin), pharmacie, librairie, pompe à essence...De nombreux restaurants excellents. Plein de choses à découvrir dans la région. Merci à Simon pour tous les liens des bonnes adresses. En résumé, nous sommes vraiment satisfaits de nos vacances et nous recommandons ce logement! Au plaisir d'y revenir pour un prochain séjour!

Fantastic!

We will definitely book this amazing home again. It is everything and more that is shown. The location is great. Fifteen minutes to Pezenas, 30 minutes to beach, 1hr 15min to Carcassonne, Great supermarket 8min. There are rolling hills of grapevines everywhere. It is quiet and peaceful. We normally stay in several places while in France but chose to stay in one place and drive to other locations. We are so glad that we did. This home is perfect for relaxation and plenty of space to move about. The pool and garden are relaxing and beautiful. Simon and Ana are lovely and VERY HOSPITABLE! Simon helped navigate us to amazing locations to visit and was always available. Ana has created a beautiful and relaxing environment. They made us feel so comfortable and we did not want to leave. My husband and 12 year old son were equally impressed with our stay. We were blessed to have our 27 year old son join us unexpectedly for a few days and Simon and Ana were great about it. You can book with confidence.

Great stay

The gite has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It’s clean and comfortable and the lovely owners who live next door are welcoming, helpful and completely unobtrusive.
