Overall good.

The unit could use some updating and the unit was not clean when we arrived. We called Wilgus and a cleaning crew came and cleaned everything up, The location is great and I would rent this unit again.

Adequate apartment in a very nice beach resort

Overall, we had a nice stay. Furnishings, as noticed by others, are fraying. Unit had non-functioning bathroom light when we arrived (we fixed it). Toilet didn't flush correctly (we fixed it, rather than call for emergency Sunday repair). Patio has an unexpected six inch drop, needs to be marked somehow (one of us had a bad fall after tripping). Pool nearby closed after one day. But -- overall we had a good time. Owners need to pay more attention to details.

Condition of this property doesn’t match price.

Good location! This particular unit really run down and need lots of upgrades. Management company requirements of not provide basics (toilets paper, soap, paper towels, beading’s ) not standard for this price range.

Relaxing and peaceful

The unit was quiet, off the main road, quite adequate for all our needs. Really enjoyed the peaceful deck We had all we needed. The location was great - short walk to beach, shops, restaurants, produce market.

Nicely maintained

Good1-BR unit. Big complaint that was that it did not have a DVR player, which I thought was required. Everything worked, it was clean and had a good coffeemaker, and updated outdoor furniture.

Great week with a few Hiccups

The property was very clean, with new appliances and new deck furniture. Decor was a little outdated, but still had a "beachy" feel. There were three of us, so having bathroom access for our teenage daughter only through the master bedroom was a bit awkward. I would recommend this to a couple or a family with 1 or 2 young children but not with teens. The location was very close to the beach, which was helpful because the wait for the tram rides was quite long. The biggest disappointment for me was that the pool right next to our unit, (and one of the reasons I chose the rental) was closed for the season due to staffing shortages. Sea Colony still had 5 or 6 pools open, but they were then more crowded as a result of the other closures. We will consider this in the future when deciding which weeks to rent if we have flexibility. Many of the lifeguards had to leave for college, so there were hardly any left for staffing the pools. We used to go to Sea Colony every year when our kids were little -- it was perfect for a young family. This time, we felt like we were in an age group between all the young families and the grandparents hosting them. In the future we may chose to forgo the extra amenities (pools, trams etc.) to find a quieter, less crowded beach. Overall, we still had a super vacation in this beautiful resort community.

Disappointing stay

We love Sea Colony and this is our 4th stay. The resort is doing a wonderful job at protecting people in this time of COVID-19. We were disappointed in the lodging. We agree with the previous reviewer that the place needs updating. In addition, this is the 4th time that we have rented a place in Sea Colony. Usually the owners try to provide some of what is needed for the week. While we don’t expect the owner to provide for all of our needs for the week, we do have the expectation that some of the normal items used would be present. There was less than ½ a roll of paper towels, not an extra roll of toilet paper, no dishwasher detergent and no salt and pepper.

Sea Colony West condo, great location but outdated

This is a 1 bedroom condo in Sea Colony West. Rental is through Wilgus Associates. The condo is reasonable in that it has its own entrance, large patio and kitchen/laundry. Everything works and Is clean but the entire condo looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1980s. All appliances are very outdated but they work. Obviously this condo needs to be renovated at some point. But again we had a nice stay here so I would recommend it as long as you are OK with it being outdated.
