Relaxing space, rustic charm and great views

We had the most relaxing winter escape at the Berry Mountain Cottage. The cottage is well-positioned in private & peaceful surrounds, high on the mountain with stunning views over the valley & coastline below. The horses & alpacas in nearby paddocks were happy to come over to the fence to say hello (even with our overly friendly & enthusiastic Labrador there). We also saw 3 wombats on the property during our stay (very cute)! The cottage itself was clean, warm & inviting with everything we needed to feel the comforts of home including a lovely hot shower, plush towels & boutique aromatic products. The bedding was extremely comfy & dressed with quality linen. We had all the equipment we needed to cook our own meals & the dining table folded out to fit our jigsaw puzzle on one end & feed us at the other. An enclosed yard surrounds the cottage - perfect for guests with dogs who can sniff around safety without wandering off. The main street of Berry was nearby, with all the shops we could want or need right there, along with the “treat factory” a bit further out of town (which lived up to its name)! Berry is central to a variety of country & coastal towns & attractions, making it the perfect place to stay while enjoying day trips & sight-seeing. Tori was an excellent host – Welcoming, accommodating & communicated well before & during our stay. We appreciated the fresh milk, local sourdough & sweet treats on arrival. A wonderful experience that was good for the soul - Thank you!

Magical

A wonderful long weekend. The cottage is vey cosy and the firepit is a great place to relax with friends. The dogs love the space to run around. I will be buying a set of those heavenly pillows that are on the bed. This was our second time at the coþage, we will be back again.

What a beauty

What a beautiful time we had making memories at the cottage! We appreciate that the cottage tells a story, it’s not just accommodation it’s about the experience! The views are spectacular, you truly won’t want to leave this place. Loved the wildlife and Sid the Alpaca who came to visit us! Thank you Tori for being so helpful and the gifts on arrival. Great location

Enjoyed our stay at this out of the way peaceful location. Beautiful views out across the Shoalhaven coastline. Everything you need with the charm of heritage features. Horses, cows and alpacas kept our suburban groodle on high alert but we loved their company. Fire on a winters night was great. Recommend to stay here, a great property from great hosts.

Cosy cottage with gorgeous views

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was filled with character and very peaceful, just a short drive from Berry. The owners provided helpful tips for things to do in the local area and a welcome package of useful food essentials. Accomodation was good with a comfortable bed and great shower. Our dog loved the grounds with plenty of space to run and a helpful enclosed space around the cottage. Only suggestion would be to provide some warmer throws for the couch to snuggle up on a cold day but otherwise it was perfect for our long weekend getaway

Best breath of fresh air ever!

Everything from booking, to communications pre, during and prior was fantastic! The home itself was a classic made comfortable with all the refined items you need and a fabulous fire pit overlooking the mountain and ocean. Waking up to the very friendly horses and cute lamas was so great! The lamas really took to our fur baby who thoroughly enjoyed the open space. We will be back with another couple to share this space with again. Was just a dream! Thank you! Xx

Easter getaway

What a fantastic Easter break ,this is our second stay at the cottage and it was just as good as the first stay ,so peaceful and beautiful views, it’s a very comfortable little place ,everything you need and fantastic for our fur baby ! Truly spectacular

The property was everything that we thought it was. True Australia of old character. You have nature all around you and it's the perfect getaway for burnt out city dwellers. Tori and Jason are so thoughtful, provided us with milk, eggs and bread for us to enjoy without us trying to guess what we need to bring. We just checked-in and relaxed that night. In the morning we were welcomed with picture perfect views and their 3 alpacas. Early morning yoga and walk through the natural pathways in the property is magnificent. Kangaroo Valley and Berry towns were full of places to explore and eat. Our review doesn't do justice, it's a place to experience. This is definitely a once year visit for us.

Great peaceful remote

Lovely well manicured property with great views. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed The only slight negative is that it’s a tough drive with lots of hairpin bends from Berry to the property but gets easier as you get more familiar

Beautiful, comfortable, convenient

The Cottage was an idyllic place to spend a long weekend in the countryside. The proximity to the centre of Berry was very convenient, and the attention to detail in the finishings and creature comforts added that extra special touch to a lovely weekend.

Beautiful and restorative

We had 2 nights here. Three adults and 2 small dogs. The cottage is lovely - most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We spent all our time in the gardens outside. During the day we would go for walks. In the evening we enjoyed the firepit. The dogs loved the space to roam. The owners were responsive and generous in helping us with anything we need. We will definitely be coming back for more.
