This place is awesome

The host is nice and helpful. They responded to all messgaes in a timely manner. The description online was accurate about the property. The cabin was very cute and very very clean. Everything we needed was supplied. I would highly recommended staying here.

Relaxing Retreat !!!

The house was very clean and neat. We had a great time there, it rained the first few days so our outdoor activities were limited but our last day we were able to enjoy the outdoor fire on the new deck and relax in the comfortable patio furniture. We also had a family of deer that were eating leaves very close to the house in the woods.

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I were looking for a place like this to spend the weekend and have some quiet time away from the "city." The house was very clean, our dogs loved the large backyard, and we enjoyed our stay! The host keeps a large supply of cookware/utensils and we had everything we needed to cook dinner. There is also a huge collection of board games which we had not played in a long time. It was a relaxing weekend, and we did not have any issues during our stay. Would highly recommend this place!

Great Stay!

We had a great visit and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was perfect for visits to Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs, although if you just want to hang out and relax, the cabin had everything you need for that. Would definitely book again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property as we explored the Berkley Springs area. From the moment we parked the car and stepped onto the porch, we were hooked! Opening the door to find such a beautiful space sealed the deal!. The hosts supplied everything we needed and more.Our grandson was thrilled with the boardgames which was an added bonus. Easiest 5-star rating to give, you’ll agree once you’ve visited.

Great secluded house

This is my 3rd time staying here it's been great each time and each time there is some new upgrade that has been done to the house. It's an amazing getaway with the best scenery definitely coming back.

Great short stay!

We had a great two night stay. The host was super helpful. I had a last minute schedule issue that he graciously worked out. The cabin was very private, but close to some great hiking. Overall, a relaxing, wonderful time!

A Great Stay

We’ve been annually vacationing at cabins or properties in the mountains or country for 6 years now, and this definitely was our favorite yet. It was an easy drive, without crazy steep winding mountain roads. The house was clean, modern, very tech,. And it’s the first place we didn’t need a WiFi password for beside our regular phone serve came in fine there

Well Appointed & High Tech

The cabin was very well appointed. All linens were provided, as well as plenty of spare cleaning products for dishes and laundry. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and well laid out. Unfortunately we had mainly rain while in town, so the technology played a large part for us. The town of Berkely Springs is 20 minutes away and is fantastic! With or without kids along, this is a great place to stay!

I enjoyed every peaceful moment I was there! Living near, and working in a big city is loud and stressful. This was just what the Dr. ordered! Beautiful home in a beautiful setting with great amenities. Loved the lower level deck and propane fire pit that was ready to use! My older dog had a few problems traversing the steps but he loved being there as well!!! Already booked another stay!

Everything you need

I have stayed at several VRBOs that stated they had everything you need, but still needed, paper products, soap, sometimes bedding. This cabin really did have everything you needed down to the shampoo. The bedding was amazing. It was such a cozy cabin and a perfect weekend get away.

Uncleaned

The day I checked in I noticed that there was used towels in the bathroom, all of the beds either had the sheets thrown on the ground or looked like someone just slept in them. I messaged the host who seemed slightly unconcerned. Apparently they forgot to clean the cabin. They did send out a housekeeper the following morning but it interrupted our stay as even after we got back from the park she was still there cleaning. Safety wise, the sliding door leading out back had a broken lock. There was a piece of wood preventing the door from being able to slide fully open but being a female staying alone with my dog it was very concerning.

Great Stay

We had a great two night stay to break up a road trip to the coast. Very private location with lots of nice modern touches in the cabin itself. It was rainy for our stay so we couldn’t use the yard much altho the steepness may have limited it’s use either way. Very clean with great communication with easy check-in via the owner.

REALLY NICE cabin

We enjoyed our stay very much at Retrievers Retreat! 2 senior adults and our very small dog, Bailey. Cabin is well kept and not too far into the woods although it is up on the mountain. Liked the condiments in the cabinets, coffee and powdered creamer, teas provided, although we did not use them. A nice wine fridge too! The bed we used on the main floor was very comfortable, and we liked the lighted mirror above the bathroom sink, shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner in hanging bottles. Hand and Body lotion bottles in the bathroom too! Sheets, pillowcases, towels provided. There is an upstairs loft bedroom, and basement beds and a game room and a lower patio deck. We enjoyed the main porch deck in the back watching all the deer on the property. I could go on..... but I'll just say this much more, we would highly recommend this cabin! Claudio answered my questions in a very timely manner and politely, (thank you!) We would definitely return!

Great weekend getaway

We stay for an extended weekend at the cabin. It has everything we were looking to have for a quick summer getaway. It was close to Cacapon State Park and then we could unwind with the many amenities at the cabin. Everything was as described and we had a great experience. Thank you!
