The house is old, but has been remodeled in stages. Master bath is large and nicely updated. The second master is smaller but also nice. The house accommodates a large group and we appreciated the pool out back. The area is quiet except for the neighbor chickens. The house was supplied with the basics but missing a lot of staples that ate usually provided (e.g. kleenex, shampoo, adequate towels). The appliances were functional. The master bath toilet has a bad fan so you can't turn the light on without it sounding light a tornado. Overall we appreciated the location and found the house adequate for our stay.

What a wonderful space for our group! We had come to the area for my daughter's wedding. It was a perfect place for our family to relax, work on wedding things, and be quiet in the morning walking the property. I will definitely stay here again if/when I need a home over a hotel room. What a blessing it was to have found this place!

Hot water for the kitchen sink went out several times a day had to reset the breakers constantly, dishwasher is musty inside, washing machine smells bad, dryer shuts off prematurely, master bathroom toilet closet exhaust fan sounds like it’s about to explode. Other than that, everything was great.

6 ladies ranging from age 49 to 70. Everyone was able to find their own sleeping arrangement. The two gathering rooms were large and accommodating. Outdoors around the pool was awesome.

My family enjoyed our stay very much. The back yard was a popular hangout. There was a book with all the information you need. Light switches were clearly marked, which we appreciated. The place was clean and welcoming. There were plenty of spaces to congregate and play games. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend.

Family reunion

We had a wonderful family reunion. There were 14 of us ages, 9 to 95. My dad turned 95 this year and we wanted to do something special for him. The property was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The property was clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The outdoor patio with large table and grill was a plus! The salt water pool was everyone's favorite.Check-in was easy and Wi-Fi worked great.We had a couple of questions while we were there and our host Kristen and Jeff answered us quickly and were very nice. We would certainly stay here again!

Time in the Hill County

My Bunco group rented the home for a long weekend. The weather wasn’t the best but we were all able to enjoy the wonderful outdoor area. Having 3 full bathrooms was awesome! The kitchen table and two living areas were very adequate to support 12 people. Owners are super responsive to questions and concerns. We had a wonderful stay!

Girls weekend

We are a party of 10 college friends (73-75 yrs of age) who get together every year for reminiscing and catching up with each other. We really enjoy the Hill County since our college days were spent in San Antonio at Incarnate Word College. The Bergheim property was ideal being 1 story and various options for sleeping (2kings, 1 queen, 2 twins and 2 bunk beds). The back yard area was a great area to sit and visit. The common areas kitchen and living rooms were very comfortable. It was also large enough that we weren't on top of each other. I would definitely recommend the property.

Room for a large group

We traveled from Oklahoma for a birthday celebration with several women (13). The house was located just 15 minutes to great shopping and restaurants. Recommend this house for large groups at a reasonable price.

Great space for a group of friends or a big family

The location and the house was perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the bunks and the playroom while the adults enjoyed the main living room. There was plenty of space to roam about in the yard and the pool was a perfect size for our group of 12. The pool was cold because the weather to a shift to colder overnight temps. However we were able to enjoy the patio. One morning we were lucky enough to see deer in the back yard. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of spices to choose from. Everything was very clean and I loved that the light switches were labeled showing which light it worked with. I would like to see the remotes labeled as well if possible. The host was very accommodating and when we had a question they were quick to respond. If you are looking for a great multi family space this is it.

Great for multiple families

This was the perfect house for our 3 families to stay together for a wedding weekend. The house is close to Park 31, where the wedding took place, and the house had ample space for all 9 of us. It could have even fit more! The hosts were quick to respond to any question we had which was appreciated. We do feel families should be aware that there is not a door which separates the bunk room from the living room/kitchen. Since bunk rooms are usually occupied by kids, this could pose an issue with getting littles to go to bed before adults who might want to hang out in the living room as we did.
