The apartment is in a fantastic location—close to everything but just enough off the busiest streets to feel relaxed. Communication with the hosts was mostly smooth, and the little balcony is charming, with a nice view into the neighborhood. That said, the space itself came with some challenges. Bergen is an expensive city, and this felt like a more budget-friendly option compared to others we considered. If you’re mainly looking for value and don’t mind some quirks, it could work well. For me, though, comfort was an issue. The bedroom has no windows and a slanted wall, which gave it a very closed-in feeling. Sharing the bed was tricky since one side is right against the wall with no space for a nightstand. As the person sleeping on that side, I found it inconvenient to get in and out of bed during the night.Cleanliness was another concern. There were noticeable clumps of hair and lint, and the floor along the wall by the bed seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Small details also made the stay less comfortable: only two towels for a multi-night stay, no washcloths, a shower that easily spills water onto the floor (without a bathmat provided), and just two servings of coffee for a three-night booking. The apartment’s location and balcony are definite highlights, and for travelers prioritizing budget it could be a reasonable choice. But if you’re looking for something more comfortable or with higher attention to detail, you may want to explore other options.
