During our stay I read a book about the Burke house / moon hole and it’s builder Tom. I found it absolutely fascinating. This place was an onion to me, learning more and more with every layer of its charm and story revealed. The burke house has profoundly touch us with its natural architecture that seamlessly blends inside with the outdoors....

"The Firefly estate has amazing staff, Melissa, LesleyAnn and Ezra made my stay at the firefly incredible, they are friendly, approachable, helpful and super efficient. LesleyANn cooking is amazing and I highly recommend the Chicken curry with roti. The hotel is beautiful surrounded nature, tranquil and peaceful. I stayed in two different room I prefer the upper floor but both rooms was beautiful, spacious, extremely comfortable beds, private terrace and all amenities to make for s fantastic...

"Fantastisk beliggenhet, fint at det var mulig å bestille mat levert på rommet (både frokost, lunsj og middag). Også et pluss at det var mulig å benytte restaurant/baren på hotellet. Viktig å merke seg at ikke alle rommene har kjøkken, kun et lite kjøleskap!! "

"Muy malo, el edificio es viejo, los baños asquerosos y afuera de las habitaciones, las habitaciones solo tienen un abanico de pedestal, no tienen abanico de techo como promete , en la noche la puerta principal se queda abierta y no hay seguridad ni dejan ningún contacto para ayuda ni asistencia, la verdad no volvería a ese lugar."

"We arrived by ferry and were taxied to the property. There was nobody there for check in. Calls were not answered. Luckily our taxi driver waited for us, took us to the Plantation and there were rooms available. Otherwise we would have been stranded on the island. We received an apology email the next day which was considerate but didn't help us in any way. If staying here, I would definitely stay in contact with the property to confirm so you are not left without lodging on arrival."
