Wonderful property
This is an amazing place to have a celebration - in this case 80th and 15th birthdays! We had such a great time, spending 9 days there with 13 members of our family. The house and grounds are absolutely fantastic, and Cliff was an excellent host, ensuring that everything ran smoothly for us.

Everything perfect!
The Villa is beautiful, luxury old style. We hosted a small wedding but stayed the whole weekend with the family and it was great experience. Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are perfectly equipped with everything you need and best of all, very comfortable. Enough parking space for everyone and a beautiful pool/garden area. Thank you Cliff for being such a great host. Our wedding turned out perfect!

Amazing Vacation at Villa Africa
We went to Solheim Cup and stayed at Villa Africa. We were so excited about staying here based on the pictures and reviews, it didn't disappoint. Clif was a wonderful host and ensure we were comfortable. He also referred us to Chef Stefan who provided wonderful dinners in this beautiful setting. The villa was so comfortable and pool amazing that some folks decided to stay at the villa and watch golf on TV! Thank Cliff for providing a once in a life time experience for us!

Fantastic stay at a very special Villa
We stayed at villa Africa for our wedding weekend. Cliff was extremely accommodating and responsive. He helped us with checking in and was very considerate. The Villa is stunning, enormous, so clean, very good for a big group or family with a large kitchen and gorgeous grounds/pool. I would love to go back. I would highly recommend staying. It’s a really special property.

Fabulous Villa and Great Location
Three generation extended family spent a week exploring the Costa del Sol from Malaga to Tarifa (ferry to Tangier) and even inland to Granada (the Alhambra), Ronda and Seville. Villa Africa was a PERFECT base. Pool was clean with plenty of covered outdoor areas, Cancelada restaurants were excellent, fun and friendly. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Fantastic experience
The house was wonderful - spacious, well equipped, large pool and amenities galore! We were here on a stag do and an Uber drive to the strip in Marbella was 10 mins away. Cliff was a fantastic host and we shall be returning again very soon!

Absolutely ideal
The photos of the property look great. Upon arrival it is even better than expected. Certainly has the wow factor and the place is astonishingly huge. There was no need to ‘pick the best room’ as each was just a big and nice as the next. The plot of land is sits on is massive with extensive front and rear gardens. The pool is large with a large patio area surrounding it. Perfect for a wine and cheese day… It was secluded and not overlooked making it perfect for a large group to enjoy themselves without disputing anybody else. Location is great as it makes for a peaceful stay and at the same time a short Uber trip to Puerto Banus. Taxis/Ubers had no trouble in finding the villa and can be requested for an almost immediate pick up. The host was informative and easy to converse with over WhatsApp. As a stag party (albeit slightly longer in the tooth stag party) it was literally the gold standard of accommodation that we had in mind. Would love to return for a longer holiday in the future with the family. In summary, pretty much every member of the group said to me ‘I think this nicest place I have ever been’.

Incredible.
If you get the chance, 100% stay here. The villa is huge, so much room and is spotlessly clean The villa is in a beautiful location and because theres only a few houses dotted around, you dont have to be too worried about noise or privacy. The photos dont do it justice. The hosts are so helpful and always on hand to answer questions. Taxis to puerto banus or lidl were easy enough to get and reasonably priced. The ameneties at the villa are plentiful and the beds are comfy too. We'd love to come back again! I cant recommend the property enough. Weve done several big grouo holidays, and this villa was by far the best.

Fantastic villa

Great Villa for a Family Holiday
Very large Villa with ample room for everyone. Great size clean swimming pool and plenty of space for the kids to enjoy. Stay was marred by a break in on the last night, however, I’m sure, given their attentive nature throughout our stay, Ted and Cliff will review and make relevant upgrades to security as required.

Could not recommend Villa Africa enough!
As a hen party group of 14, I don’t think you can find better than Villa Africa. Firstly, the location is perfect, it’s peaceful and the views are incredible. Secondly, the hosts really went above and beyond. Unfortunately one member of the party picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport and within 3 hour a the hosts had contacted Ryanair and located the case and even drove the member of the group to pick it up. Finally, the cleanliness and facilities were brilliant. The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pool is massive and clean and there are ample bedrooms and dining areas. Would highly recommend this beautiful villa to anyone. We will be returning!

The house was great, huge, we hired a full time house keeper so we had zero chores to do. Location is a bit far from Marbella but we planned our days and left in AM and returned in evening. The beach is actually nicer than in Marbella so the local beach was great, super calm, not as crowded. The family that owns the house was available for any question or request. They were great hosts. Would highly recommend them!

Great villa, amazing holiday
My friends and I had an amazing holiday. The villa is great: lots of space, air con rooms, very clean etc. The garden and pool is very big and perfect to kick a ball around and have fun. All communication with the hosts were very efficient with quick replies.

Amazing villa, plenty of room for everyone great pool and gardens.
Being picky as everything was so nice about the villa but, some building work is going on nearby and the kitchen utensils and plates need updating not a sharp knife in the place, quite difficult to cater for everyone, we got away with it as only 11 of us but you would struggle if fully occupied.

Absolutely beautiful grounds outside - inside needs some work
The pros: Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue for our wedding. All our guests really loved the mature gardens, views, backyard, and overall picturesque villa. Grocery delivery was very easy to coordinate and well done. The villa was also easy to find thanks to the good directions/maps from the owners. The cons: The place was falling apart inside. It was a little bit like the movie Money Pit. Everything seemed ok on the outside and we kept discovering problems, one after another throughout our stay. When we arrived there was a strong sewage smell which took some time to flush out (more prompt communication would be appreciated). Additionally, the A/C emitted a strong burning smell when we turned it on downstairs. The game room is musty. Things fell off walls. There was no hot water on the lower floor for 2 days (not helpful when preparing for a wedding). The showers in the bathrooms flooded. The downstairs rooms were also full of ants we spent a lot of time trying to sweep up. Note: While this property is owned by Ted, it is managed by Thomas - who did respond to our concerns once we were able to figure out how to contact him (no phone number was provided). He tried to help, bringing in technicians and even his personal humidifier. More directions on where to find the trash bins are would be good - we walked up and down the street with no idea.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and wedding. Unfortunately yes there were some issues that all seemed to happen during your stay, which was rectified. Every time you contacted us we responded. Regarding the burning smell in the A/C unit - We have never had this issue before and a technician was called out and everything was declared to be working fine and no further smell could be detected. The smell in the house that you said was so strong a member of your group couldn’t stay there but yet none of the agents who had been out to the property, nor the cleaners could smell anything. This said member of your group also we found out did not leave but stayed for the duration. The lack of hot water one day, we found out, was the result of a member of your wedding team, an electrician getting into the boiler room for electric power, lights in garden etc. firstly they shouldn’t have been in there without prior permission because it resulted in the pilot light in one geyser to go out. This was set right by us. We weren’t informed of anything falling off the walls or of the problem that the rooms were full of ants so are unable to comment. The shower flooding is a slight exaggeration. The drain was slightly blocked which meant the water couldn’t drain as quickly so it did collect a bit in the footwell but nothing flooded. We aren't sure why you couldn't find Thomas' number. Before your arrival we had sent you the arrival procedure pdf which has Thomas’ number listed. Also it is provided on the first page in information folder. Your wedding team also had Thomas’ number and direct email address. You also had prior to arrival Vilma’s number as she was the agent who checked you in.

We had 16 of us stay her for 5 days. Since the day I first enquired Ted has been incredible and helped with any questions we had. We ended spending so much time at the villa because it was so beautiful with great facilities. You need a taxi to get into Marbella or Puerto banus which is very easy to book and Ted and his team will explain everything to you when you arrive. Thank you for an amazing holiday

Fantastic Villa- great for large parties. Even better than we had imagined. Definitely recommend!!
Communication with the owner before and during our stay couldn’t have been better. Ted was so helpful and responded very quickly. The villa is absolutely immaculate. So spacious and bright. The rooms are enormous and feel very luxurious. The pool area and gardens are beautiful and feel very private. There are a few little bars and a small shop in walking distance. The supermarket is a short taxi ride away (€10). This is a perfect villa for groups of friends or family. I definitely recommend it.

Excellent time
We have now returned after a wonderful time together with my family at Villa Africa. The spaciousness of the villa, the grounds and pool, the location and quiet made it a great way to relax and enjoy each other’s company – our main objective. Our group spanned the ages of 6 to 92 and found the villa, extensive grounds and pool to be ideally suited to all of them. With good weather thrown in it made for an excellent holiday. Shades and awnings on the terrace meant that virtually all our time was spent outdoors including all meals. The gardens were kept in very good shape and the attention to the swimming pool on a couple of occasions was valuable and essential for safety and enjoyment. Lili looked after us very well and consulted us and kept us informed on those essential maintenance issues that crop up from time to time. Communications with Ted and Lili were prompt and efficient. We mainly wanted a “chilled-out” week around the villa so did not venture out far apart from shopping, though some did the Caminita del Rey walk not far away. The local Mercadona supermarket’s fresh fish was very good. We can thoroughly recommend this villa.

15 family members stayed here, we all had a great time. Villa is so spacious with lots of room. Pool was lovely and big , lots of outside space. 30min walk to closest village , we didn't have a car but I would recommend it, although if your organised the villa owners have an account with a local supermarket who deliver ( I would suggest placing the order before you arrive as we could only get a delivery time 2 days after our arrival date) a few nice restaurants in the nearest village .

Better than we ever could have imagined.
Where to start? From the moment we arrived at Villa Africa we were welcomed with open arms. We arrived slightly earlier than the check in time noted but Ted, Lillie and the cleaners sorted us out straight away. Ted even took a few of us to get 'supplies' from the local Lidl. A real friendly bloke and bended over backwards to ensure we had everything throughout our stay. The Villa itself is simply breathtaking. It has everything you could imagine. It catered to all 17 of our needs, and some. The taxis are very accustomed to the place, so taxi's weren't a problem. €20 to Puerto Banus, €40 to Marbella strip FYI. Can't thank them enough for allowing us to stay, it made the trip what it was, and that's down to Ted and co. We will be coming back, that I can be sure of. Once again, from myself, the stag and the lads, thank you so much. I can't recommend this place enough.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful villa!
17 of us girls stayed at the villa for a long weekend. The villa was stunning, and every bit as good as the photos suggest. Everything was very clean and the owners were accommodating at meeting us for arrival. It was a little bit hard to find but well worth it, and there is a lovely wine bar 15 minutes walk away in the village. The owners also helped us find a yoga instructor to come to the house for us. If I had one criticism it would be that the utensils/pots/pans could do with updating in the kitchen. Over all we loved our stay and didn't want to leave! Hopefully we will make it back one day.
