I drove 20 miles from Michigan to stay at this hotel. The room was filthy, the furniture dated and looking ragged. Stained chair, uneven floors, the refrigerator was actually beat with someones hand, you could see the dents in it. The shower should have been condemed! It had an exposed crack from one end of the shower to the next. The crack had which looked like mold or just general filth.My son who had not had a shower all day cried because he was horrified! He would not , nor would I shower in that. I asked for a refund, which I was denied. I asked for another room, which I was denied. I travel frequently for work through out the country, this was the worst place I have ever experienced! VRBO should be ashamed by associating with this facility. Looks like profit supersedes customer service with VRBO

The staff very friendly. The location is great!!! However, the room was not satisfactory for the money. Someone should really clean or update the moldy air conditioners and the matress is old old old with a sink hole in the middle sagging and hair was on our sheet.As far non smoking all you smelled coming through the bathroom walls was your neighbors smoking pot and you had to run the ac to circulate the air but that was full of mold. My apologies for this review but never again. Thank you.

Nice place, but make something with your air conditioner

Very close to beach, very clean small room. Perfect for one night. But the air conditioner rattles so you can't sleep and the windows don't open.

Easy parking, hotel was nice, clean. Very close to the beach. I did not like: TV remote was broken. Staff was not very friendly. When I checked in, employee was on a personal call and away from the desk. When they showed up, didn't hang up the phone. Did apologize later, which is good, but still unprofessional. Make phone calls on your own time. Other members of the staff seemed indifferent, ignoring "good morning" that I said to them, then seemed like I was bothering them by checking out.

Bedroom and bathroom

Our bedroom had extension cords running all along the floors. Can i say fire hazard? No storage room and the bathroom was old and tired. Needs a new floor, I thought I would fall through it near the toilet. No towel racks either.

Nothing like pics and pics are not great to begin with

I understand the concept of “you get what you pay for” and I was fine with that based off of the pics advertised but the place is nothing like the photos. Holes in ceilings above shower, shower head was literally jetting out from a hole in the wall, brown spots where water Is clearly leaking from above, what I believe was an industrial fan was blowing all night upstairs, housekeeping vacuuming at 11am, teeth marks in our remote control which we couldn’t decide if they were from rats or someone on meth. We measured the bed it was a full bed despite being adv as queen and the owner gaslights and ensures it’s a queen even when you have measured it and it’s clearly 54 inches. When you question about the bed they say they’re completely booked but when you point out one of the 85 health code violations a room magically appears. Owner has 0 pride in the property and is magically “not made aware” about serious issues with the property as if it’s not his job to make himself aware. 0 pride taken in this property. Complete scammy behavior. This was so egregiously bad I reported it to NJ consumer affairs and NJ health department. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE. READ REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES AND SCROLL BACK MORE THAN 1 MONTH.

This is a nice place which reminded me of growing up. There is no elevator which makes things very difficult carrying suitcases, but it is an adequate place to stay which is in a beautiful neighborhood and literally for houses from the beach. It is not the iconic Hilton, but it is adequate. The staff is very nice and accommodated

Hotel stay

While climbing stairs to the 3rd floor was rough on my bad knees, overall it was a pretty decent place. Employees were friendly and it is only a minute walk to the beach. We would stay there again!

Deliberately misleading listing. It is a room in a motel the size of a broom closet. The Belmar Inn, it is listed as an "entire house", the word "Inn" appears nowhere on the listing. This is blatant false advertising
