Wanted to like this hotel. But lack of forewarning that 1st floor really is not first floor and luggage had to be take up 2 sets of stairs, plus no working heat in room plus internet that barely worked, plus shower door gap that sprayed bathroom floor all made for disappointing stay.

I was curious about the history of the hotel. Mint who was at the front desk was kind enough to give me a brief tour and tell me about some of the more etherial guest who reside at the hotel. I will definitely come back again.

The staff was good. When we found no soap Or shampoo in the shower (should have been there without asking) they responded quickly. There were no luggage racks in the room. The staff brought them. It was cold in the room. The staff brought a blanket for the second night we were there. Put auto drip coffee makers in the suites. If they think they are being fancy with the press coffee makers they aren’t. We witnessed a drug addict being high while looking out the window. The hotel needs a major investment of funding to cure the deferred maintenance in the common areas which was only what we could see. It’s a cool place. Hopefully it gets it.

Well situated in the Old Town Arts district. Great access to everything the area has to offer. Clean accommodation with courteous staff. Will stay again.

This property is unique. The staff was amazing but it just was not our family’s preference. If you are looking for a historical and unique property it is beautiful.

Liked the property: free parking , close to lots of good restaurants, right in the heart of old town. Enjoyed library and pool table on second floor. Bed was too soft and needed extra blanket as it was a bit chilly and heat pump in room did not warm it very quickly, Didn’t like homeless people wandering streets and alleys camping out in vacant lot across from hotel and making noise till late at night.Downtown area seems rundown and deserted…. But maybe it’s the time of year ( April) could be better in warm weather.

Beautifuly restored historic building, sparsely decorated but adequate. 2 room suite with no heater in the bedroom. No extra blankets in the room. The Amendment 21 speakeasy is very cool.

Great location, comfy space. I stayed in the 1960’s era wing of the hotel. Suggestions: each room should have an iron and ironing board. Each door to the hall should have a bottom sweep to keep out light from the hallway.

Wonderful location in downtown Bellingham. Stayed in a suite in the modern wing - really great accommodation that would be comfortable for a weekend stay - it seemed a waste only to be staying one night! The roof deck was great on a sunny afternoon.

The location of this hotel is great. A few blocks from great restaurants, breweries, and more. The hotel is clean and had a very spacious suite with a kitchenette that was so convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Stately historic hotel with expansive and well-equipped fitness center, cozy theater room, library and pool table. And a convenient baby grand in the lobby that I intend to play on our next visit. Very accommodating kitchen.

I booked a suite for 280 tax per night. I was given a small room with a bed and not a single chair. The only restaurant was a bar with bar food. There was never anyone at the front desk when I needed assistance. It is definitely not a safe area to park.

I loved the art, architecture, and friendly staff! We did not have chance to try the extra features (ex: escape room), so we definitely need to come back!

Awesome accommodating staff, A21 the bar was on point with charming beverages and small plates. Beautiful lobby and hotel has a super unique history. Room was unusual, fun, but not quite four stars as it had a ‘worn’ feeling tone, rather than the retro feel in the pictures. Bathroom was cramped and had mildew in the shower. Lots of dogs as their policy is very friendly for fur babies. Tons of fabulous eating joints. Whole area is welcoming to everyone.

The hotel is over 100 years old and is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and decorated well. Very comfortable. The Lounge is excellent with good drinks and food.

Great room, lousy parking
Hotel Leo had a great vibe and wonderful bar area. Our room was large and nicely appointed. The downside is the lack of hotel parking. We were told to find a meter on the street which we were lucky to find when we checked in. We were also lucky parking was free after 6pm on Saturday night. The other downside was the bar across the street which was quite loud. We did appreciate the earplugs. If we return, we'll know to park at a friends and UBER

Noisy at night due to unruly clientele.
It was extremely noisy during last night between 1-3 am. People were yelling and fighting in hallway. Did not get a restful sleep. No phone in room, so unable to contact front desk. Unwilling too open our hotel room door and intercept with violence. Purposely did not get roaming on phone, as we were from out of country and wanted to have a media free holiday, but was ready to call 911. Will not stay here again.
