The absolute perfect stay!

Our family had the most beautiful stay at Homeport! The house was perfect— the hosts provided so many amenities that supported family time together. From kayaks to cornhole, from the fully appointed game room to the delicious Lindor chocolates in the welcome basket… every detail was thought of and taken care of before our arrival. The house was spotless and had so many spaces to hang out and relax. Grandparents and kids alike marveled at how much fun we had at the house in between our day trips to Seattle, Olympic National Park, and Port Townsend for whale watching. Even when we had downtime at the house, we were able to see so much wildlife in the canal! Kayaking while seeing bald eagles soar overhead is not something any of us will soon forget! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and after a spectacular 4th of July fireworks show put on by families around the canal, we are sad to say goodbye to this magical home. Many thanks to Matthew and Carrie for all the memories!

Wonderful spot for a large group

Me and a group of friends try to get together every year and this spot had everything you could want for a larger sized group, the beds and showers were incredible as well as the property, even with the rainy weather we had a wonderful time and will be staying here again

40th birthday celebration

Everything about the house was as expected or better. The host was great at communicating and even let us know that we could check in early. We were greeted by a welcome basket, all the amenities we could need and an absolutely stunning view. We are already planning our next visit.

Outstanding Stay

We just spent four days at Homeport celebrating a birthday. We’ve been fortunate to stay at a number of very nice homes on Hood Canal but none better than this! From the welcoming basket of treats on arrival to the excellent help and communication with Matthew,the host, to the superb views and fun game room, we could not recommend this stay more highly!

Thanksgiving Treasure

This is the best vacation rental that we have ever visited. Our family loves a spacious, clean, modern, well-equip home and the Homeport has this and more. You are just one hour drive from Seattle but you feel miles away with the stunning waterfront setting and expansive views. We were able to host a wonderful spread for Thanksgiving with plenty of kitchen wear and even a special request food processor which was purchased upon request by he owner. Only a dedicated owner would complete such an ask. (we did use it quite a few times).The colder November weather did not scare us from kayaking on the pristine, still waters at the property - plenty of kayaks, paddle boards and life jackets. And a post-row hot tub with a view of mountains in the distance was ideal.The sleeping arrangements were also perfect and very comfortable. Even the "office bedroom" is a very suitable bedroom for a single guest who needs a cozy office space as well.We recommend this home with 5 Stars!

Best place we had so far in Belfair!

Gorgeous view! Need and clean. Lot of space and also toys for our kid. We enjoyed the whole long weekend and kids not want to leave. Also, thanks you so much for the gift basket, Matthew and Carrie! The best place we stayed so far in Bremerton/Belfair!

Wonderful Labor Day weekend stay

Gorgeous Home and Perfect Location

My family and I loved this house and used it as a central base for exploring the area. Most everything worth seeing is within a 2 hour drive from the house, which made it perfect for us as I had a number of first-time visitors to Washington in our party. We took advantage of the plethora of oysters and clams embedded right in the cove once low tide hit and really enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards when high tide came back. It's very peaceful at night. We saw a TON of wildlife (seals, river otters, bald eagles to name a few) and experienced spectacular sunsets over the Olympic mountains. A couple of small things that in no way discouraged our stay, but I wanted to mention here: there is a significantly high drop off (~7-10 feet) from the driveway that I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere. Our dog took a misstep and fell off this ledge, but we didn't even notice it when we were pulling up. Anyone with kids needs to be mindful of that. We were surprised there wasn't a fence there. Could be related to the current construction going on with the adjacent property, but I'm not sure. The other thing was the septic tanks. When they are getting close to full, the septic alarm will go off - a high pitched ringing that doesn't stop unless you press a red button on the side of the house. For being such a big house expecting 12-14 guests, we were a little surprised by that. No big deal, just had to space our water usage. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend to anyone!

Adventures on the Hood Canal!

Outstanding! That is the one word that truly describes this property and our experience. The views from the house—Wow! Just breathtaking! The deck has comfortable seating with propane fire place and lighting to enjoy the evenings. On the second deck more seating and a spacious hot tub which leads to the third grassy outdoor space with even more comfortable seating and space to enjoy the expansive views. Oh those views! They are amazing! Beautiful sunsets, mountains reflecting in the water, eagles flying by, we could not ask for more. Then 4th of July occurred. We saw so many firework displays from the comfort and privacy of the home. Just spectacular! My family enjoyed the kayaks and SUP boards too. These memories will last a lifetime! Easy access to the water. There are many activities to do for families outside at this property. The inside is equally as amazing providing lots of space for everyone. Both upstairs and downstairs have comfy beds and luxury bathrooms Plenty of space for your clothes and luggage. The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything! Great location for going to the store, restaurants, and hiking adventures. Perfect place to enjoy the PNW! The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had and provided helpful information for our stay. They have thought of everything to make their guests have a wonderful and relaxing stay. We were also greeted with a beautiful welcome basket! So nice! We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay

My family loves to take trips to the hood canal during oyster season and have been for the last few years. This was the first time we’ve been to Belfair and found this beautiful house to hold our large group. I can not say enough great things about this place as it has everything you need! The hospitality was the best I’ve seen! Everything was stocked inside the house as well as so much to do with the kids! The driveway was a tad tricky however that won’t stop us from coming back! We all had a blast!

Homeport was just like home

Just returned from a fantastic weekend away with a group of friends at Homeport on Hood Canal. Matthew and Carrie were gracious hosts - their communication was top notch. We loved their local recommendations! The house itself is gorgeous. It’s exactly as it appears in the listing. I’d venture to say it was the best stocked vacation rental I’ve stayed at. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of space to play card games, watch tv, or hang out. We loved relaxing in the hot tub over looking the canal. The house is situated right on the water and the views are stunning. We hope to gather again at Homeport again!

Spectacular property. Everything about our stay was heavenly. Owners clearly went out of their way to make their guests welcome, from he welcome basket at entry, to little high end features and finishes throughout the home, to beautiful waterfront yard, yard games, patios, and abundant nice water toys (kayaks, paddle boards). The deck with relaxing furniture and fire-it features were perfect for enjoying the inspiring sunsets nightly. This is a beautiful site for a memorable get-away. We never felt like customers, but rather as honored guests of good friends. A wonderful stay.

Gorgeous property with thoughtful amenities

We booked this house for our mother's birthday. 10 of us made the trip and the house accomodated us perfectly. Additionally, I have never been at a vacation home that was so perfectly stocked! Everything we needed from salt and pepper to kayaks to towels to shampoo and conditioner to welcome snacks when we arrived. The view is exceptional and being so perfectly stocked, outside heaters and blankets kept us perfectly cozy even in the Feb chill. Highly recommend!

Homeport Celebrating Anniversaries

The house is beautiful and very well appointed It has everything you will need. Views of sunsets, canal and wildlife are fun and wonderful. Mathew responded quickly when we needed help with the internet & TV connection. The kayaks provided are fun and the best way to enjoy the canal. Suggest: Mark driveway and address for better recognition from highway. Improve driveway with blacktop at top and filling in large holes. Improve water access from house with safer path to waters edge. We enjoyed celebrating our anniversaries at your home and appreciated the snack basket upon arrival. Thank you

Great place to stay and enjoy the Hood Canal

This was the best vacation rental house we have ever stayed at, period. The house was very clean and if anything the pictures didn't do it justice. Everything was new, beautiful, and clean. The rooms were functional, beautiful and worked well for our extended family. Every room of the house was well thought out and designed around providing a relaxing experience. The entire home had beautiful views of the Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains. The water front had a grassy area above the high tide mark for relaxing or staging kayaks/paddle boards. They had everything you needed to kayak/paddle board for all age ranges. We saw eagles, seals, otters, herons, and even bioluminescent plankton at night. The home was extremely well stocked. Everything we needed was there and we really could just arrive and enjoy (even tupperwear, sunscreen, ziplocks, beach towels, etc.) The owner was very responsive to questions and requests. They replied promptly and thoroughly to every question. They even brought up a crock pot when we asked if there was one in the house, just to make sure we had what we needed. The only minor feedback I have for the house is that steps between the lower deck and the water access would be helpful. We frequently slipped and sometimes fell on the sloped gravel area. No injuries, but steps would have helped. We would definitely come back to this beautiful home and area. We stay in VRBOs frequently and this home and vacation experience was exceptional.

Amazing!

Very clean and incredibly well appointed! This is probably the best VRBO home I have stayed in. The house was very clean and represented exactly like the pictures online. Hosts provided everything that you could think of to make our stay an enjoyable one. In addition to the great home, amazing upper and lower decks (fire tables were awesome and they also had two patio space heaters) and Stand Up Paddle-boards and kayaks (life jackets as well) the hosts forgot to mention that there would be constant sightings of bald eagles and even Otters as well. Relaxing, memorable and even better than we could have dreamed of— next time in Washington state we will stay here again!
