"We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at the Wellington. The whole weekend from start to finish was very special and made even better by the staff. Particular mention must go to Ellie who managed a problem for us that was our fault but she went above and beyond to help us work it out. Callum is an absolute ray of sunshine, please don’t ever lose your sparkle and a big thank you to Isaac who carried on in Ellie‘s absence continuing to resolve our problem with great efficiency....

"Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

"The whole checkin experience was excellent from the owners of this great pub/restaurant/guesthouse despite them not having a clue that i was staying due to Expedia not informing them of my arrival. However they worked around this, and made me feel welcome and even upgraded me to a suite, I did have to pay direct, but assured a refund if the Expedia payment is also taken "

TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Very spacious room which was even better than the photos. Lovely to be so close to the Raptor Park and the free entrance that came with the room. Kitchen areas was great. Nice to have a DVD player, but need to bring own DVDs. Lovely big bathroom. Only negative was shower was very weak and hard to get a constant temperature - alterbated between freezing cold and scolding hot. Other than that a perfect stay. We would recommend "
