It's Hampton - how could you ever go wrong... Well, old hotels look / feel / smell like old hotels. This is an older hotel and unexpected as a Hampton. Rooms and amenities were fine but, we had really nice options close by that are fresh and at an expected quality level.

No items available for purchase in the lobby - that seemed odd. Beautiful oak trees with Spanish Moss line the property and together with the water make for a beautiful sunrise 🌅!

Centrally located. Walkable to some fast food restaurants, a clothing store and a supermarket. A Restaurant was a 4 min drive away.

This was worst experience ever. We were awakened by someone banging on our door at 11:52 pm. They said they were the night manager and needed to charge our credit card $1.00. Said it had to be before midnight and to call desk. We tried to give him a dollar and he said it had to be our card and to just call front desk. We had No phone in our room. Had to get dressed and go to lobby. We asked the morning manager what it was all about. He was extremely rude. Would not give names. Only said I should contact corporate headquarters and my card company. I then told him about condition of room and he again refused help. I asked him his name and he said they were not allowed to give it out!!!’ I left and put the nasty pillow over the counter as he shouted I didn’t have to be so rude. Unbelievable treatment from a “manager”.

This may have been the worst room I've ever stayed in. Shower knob came off in my hand. No USB's in the room. The electrical outlets on the lamps did not work. iron did not work. TV was set up like a TV from 10-15 years ago. Not a smart TV so no Netflix, HBO, Prime video, etc. Didn't even stay my last night. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns and have been very satisfied. This hotel needs a serious upgrade. Hopefully it's in the plans. Extremely disappointed.

One thing -- if you are on the ground floor people walking by on the pathway can see directly into your room at night, when the room is lighted from the inside. There is only a sheer curtain. The thick curtain is a dummy and does not slide across...it only covers 25 percent of the window. I checked on my own room and if you are on the paved path to the front you are about ten feet from the window and can see right through the sheer curtain.

Very attractive entrance. One woman working desk and she was beyond kind. The hotel was a bit run down-has not be remodeled like previous one we stayed in. Had to ask for swag bags and they were out of dog ones. Had to have maintenance bring up door hang saying dog in room. Oatmeal option and hard boiled eggs was nice surprise at breakfast bar.

Clean, Neat, New and the room was fantastic.The staff was wonderful. The selections of TV stations were more gear for Sports aand not family. Wish there had been a Great American Family station and a Hallmark channel but not availiable at any of the Hamptons at this point

First time here and the staff were super sweet. The room was spotless and hotel was quiet. It also did not cost a fortune. Great place to stay if you are passing through or visiting loved ones at MCRD.

I would stay again.
The windows had little kids hand prints all over them and the refrigerator in the room has some kind of spilled juice in and it took awhile to get cold. The room was great, bed was wonderful. The crappy part at 5am the garbage truck comes and bangs alot and wakes you up. It rattles the whole heating unit and sounds like someone is banging on it. We had to get up early everyday of our stay anyways but that would of upset me if i was able to sleep in. The blonde lady who works at night is awesome. Shes very friendly and talks with you. She doesnt snub you like some hotel workers. She was wonderful. The rest of the staff i came across were friendly also. Breakfast was AMAZING! I would stay here again for sure!!
