The charming cottage provided my family with easy access to downtown Beaufort and spaces for us to gather in (living and dining room). The front porch also created additional space to sit and talk. We greatly appreciated the location, parking spaces for 2 cars, fully loaded kitchen, washer/dryer, decor, and spacious bedrooms. Overall, a great place that has historic charm!

This was so straight forward of a stay, we had no issues, no concerns, easy stay. Location was great, walked to Rain n Bagels, Lowcountry produce, Sister Sister, Old Bull Tavern and all the other downtown places.

For me and my granddaughter the best part of the visit was the front porch and all the great and friendly people that walked by with their dogs and allowed her to play with their pet. We haven't got her a pet yet but I'm really sure it will be a small dog.

Great house in a perfect location to walk to shops/dining and the marina. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfortable. We couldn’t ask for much more. Would stay here again next time we visit Beaufort.

Perfect location

We loved the proximity of the home within the historic district to Bay Street and the Point. All the shops and restaurants were an easy walk from the front door.The brick home had what we needed to rest after our days touring the area. The king and queen bed beds were comfy. The queen room could have used a dresser for unpacking the suitcase, and both bedroom closets had only a few hangers (an easy fix). We did not use the daybed room. The kitchen seemed well equipped, although we did not cook. Written directions on use of the Keurig coffee machine would have been helpful, but we eventually figured it out!The front porch provided a shady spot to enjoy pre-dinner wine. The large round dining table was perfect for assembling a 1000-piece puzzle late in the evening while discussing our daytime adventures. It was delightful hearing a symphony of frogs croaking outside our windows after a heavy thunderstorm the last night of our stay. Although the furnishings were dated, the price was right and we considered The Mermaid to be a good value.

Great Location!

Check-in is quick and easy. Oder home, comfortable for three people. AC works well in 100 heat index!! Just a short walk to shops, restaurants and the waterfront park. A few blocks to the bridge to Lady’s Island, and a nice drive to the beach.

Amazing hospitality!

We flew into Savannah on the last flight of the night, so we weren’t able to check in until close to midnight. The lights were left on for us and there was music playing on the tv when we arrived. It was so welcoming and made a late check in (in a new place) so much more comfortable. The location is perfect!

Tidy bungalow within a couple blocks from the waterfront and historic Beaufort. Very quiet neighborhood. Great escape that doesn’t wreak havoc on the wallet! :)

Beaufort Trip

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us, beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Overall the whole house was comfortable and felt like home. We will definitely return.

Trip to Beaufort

The cottage was clean, and comfortable. Location was great - within easy walking distance of waterfront, shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. Location was also within easy driving distance of Hunting Island state park and other areas of interest. The kitchen was well equipped but could use a nonstick frying pan. More hooks in BOTH bathrooms as well as a couple of open shelves would be a nice improvement. We would stay here again.

So quaint

we had an amazing time! It’s two blocks from adorable shopping and amazing food. The house was adorable. We loved the front porch. We did ask if we could check in a few hours early and we just wish the check-in process/communication was a little better. Other than that, we had an amazing time!

Beaufort

I had intended to take my granddaughters, but they backed out, so I had a lone time opportunity! Beaufort is a nice town. Not sure how walking to town would have been; I just drove. Parking was no problem during the week. House was nice. Love this era house. I felt safe in the neighborhood. Easy access - all through text. I’m not a phone person, so that was fine with me. House was clean. Don’t expect to have shampoo; glad I had taken mine. Kitchen is small, but I didn’t intend to cook! I would recommend a shower rod cover, since the shower rod is a bit rusty and the shower curtain rings don’t slide easily. Other than that, it was wonderful. Thank you.
