"this was a terrible experience. arrived to a boarded up hotel, with a small note attached to door saying they have reserved rooms round the corner at Carlton hotel. No warning at all well this was a awful hotel so tatty and dirty. no ammenties. lots of staff but no help what so ever came home early NEVER AGAIN. so be warned save your money G Field"

"Room was very clean, property is dated though. We had comfortable 2 nights. Staff was very friendly. Only low point was the shower, very low water pressure and took a while to heat up."

"We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. There is no bathroom, you have to share the one on the 2nd...

"Comfortable and fairly quiet"

"The breakfasts were good, although they weren't included, but it was hard to get an evening meal. The room I stayed in was near the road and boiler/ air conditioning so it was very noisy so I slept very badly. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we didn't get any information from the staff so didn't know if it was safe to return to our rooms. Although geographically it worked well I wouldn't stay there again."
