Bayfield is a 2.3 mile bike or hike along the scenic Brownstone Trail overlooking the Apostle Islands and Lake Superior. Bayfield has a fresh fish market, farmer's market on Saturday, shopping, bars, restaurants, live music on the roof top at the Inn, art galleries, and a maritime museum. Take a ferry ride to Madeline Island for the day or an Island cruise through the 22 beautiful islands of the Apostles. The area offers sailing charters, fishing charters, and kayaking. There is an eighteen hole golf course, apple orchards, awesome mountain biking trail and concerts at The Big Top Chautauqua. The Big Top Chautauqua offers free shuttle from Port Superior Marina. Winter- The Ice fishing is awesome, snowmobile trails, snow shoeing, down hill skiing, Cross country skiing, rent fat tire bikes to bike the islands and Ice caves weather permitting.
