Hotel acogedor y bien ubicado!!
Excelente hotel para hospedarte en BAYEUX!! Además de lo lindo que está el hotel, el restaurante es muy visitado y recomendado para degustar un buen menu de tres tiempos. El hotel está bien ubicado, sobre una de las principales calles de la ciudad, llena de restaurantes y tiendas. El desayuno es sencillo y variado! Desde Bayux de pueden visitar las zonas historicas y museos del DIA D. Hermoso pueblo para disfrutar!!

La localización y establecimiento son excelentes Lo unico que no resulto agradable fue el no poder cenar ,el matre fue grosero y muy poco amable . El resto muy recomendable y lindo

Classic Room was worse than average. Public spaces Tired, definitely in need of an update. Restaurant personnel, inattentative; however the service at check in was wonderful.

Excelente ubicación...
Es de los mejores hoteles ubicadas para quienes visitan Bayeux y la Normandía. Esta fue mi segunda visita a ese hotel para conocer los lugares de los Desembarcos en 1944 y es tremendamente viable y cerca de todos los lugares de interés.

Overall this is a very nice property and the staff were excellent. The only issue we had was that the restaurant is not open on Sunday or Monday, 2 of the 4 days of our stay. In fact next to nothing in town was open those days. I think the restaurant should be open these days. In addition, the bar was closed for 2 of the nights we were there as it was reserved by local clubs, 1 night the Rotary and someone else the other. So unable to get food or drink. Very inconvenient. The one night we ended up having to go to the local grocery store and get food there. May seem minor but still not great.

It is great overall. We were able to walk to all the landmarks and museums that were from 5 to 15 minutes away. I was driving and I found parking close to the hotel. The staff was great. Just be aware that there is no elevator, I was on the 2nd floor, but they helped us with the luggage. There are many restaurants around the hotel, a Carrefour, Coffee and Bakeries. D-Day beaches are from 15 to 30 minutes away.

The location was perfect to explore Bayeux, which is such a picture perfect town. Our room was spacious (separate entrance from the main hotel as a room for family of 3). It was very clean and comfortable for a short stay. We opted out of the breakfast and just walked a few steps to the local bakery.

We arrived late and they rushed around to get us seated for a late dinner and brought our bags to the room for us. We ate a great dinner in a very busy restaurant. It appeared to be a place the locals enjoy as well. Very nice place for us and everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you!

A lovely spot in the heart of the village. Easy to walk everywhere as well as easy parking at the hotel. Plus easy and convenient to visit the DDay beaches. A short car ride away. Maybe 15 minutes. Room was large with a brand new bathroom.

This was a terrific, quaint, comfortable hotel for our stay in Bayeux. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, plenty of room to open suitcases and hang things up. The dining area was well appointed, and there was a great room where you could sit and socialize. Very close to all the wonders of the city. Had a very warm and welcoming feel and a charming entrance.

The staff was very accommodating. Everything from room selection to cabs to check in was very well done. The buffet was very good. The restaurant is a gourmet experience and you will not get comfort fare.

We stayed two nights during our trip to the Normandy region. The hotel is a solid middle-of-the-road property, not a luxury experience to level set. The staff were super helpful during our stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in Normandy. The town of Bayeux is also adorable, and this hotel is in the perfect location to walk to restaurants and shops in town.

The staff was very rude and disrespectful, and there was little to no parking, but the rooms themselves were great. Because of the staff I’d avoid it all together.

The staff was remarkably helpful. The room, for France, was large (and thank you for having wash cloths). The bar area is full of history, autographed photos of WWII generals and movie stars. Bayeux is a wonderful city, and the Bayeux Tapistry is within walking distance and is extraordinary.

A nice hotel at the edge of old-town
Attentive staff. Got upgraded to a large room which was clean and comfortable. Large bathroom. A bit of mold in the shower. Shower head has seen better days. Lukewarm hot water the night arriving but good the next morning. Noisy neighborhood but setback courtyard makes it quieter, seems safe. Shopping and restaurants walkable. A bit of a hike from the train station. A lot of variety at breakfast.

The staff at this hotel are EXCEPTONAL. They went out of their way every minute to make our experience excellent. They even called when we forgot out computer and mailed it back. Just cannot say enough good things.

We had a terrific stay at Hotel Le Lion d"Or. We really enjoyed walking around the town and eating at a couple of restaurants. We especially loved our tour of the Normandy D-Day beaches. Our only complaint was that there wasn't consistent service in the bar at night.
