"The staff just make this hotel; they are amazing. The grounds are beautifully kept as is the swimming pool area. Housekeeping staff could not do enough for us; I needed hypoallergenic pillows which arrived within minutes. Lovely Nenah on reception was super and helpful, but everybody was so I don’t like picking out individual names. Food and service great in the restaurant, many options for breakfast and we ate twice in the Ocean restaurant at night and were not disappointed. Nothing was too...
"We haven’t been to the Goldensands for a couple of years. It was always lovely, but now it has had a bit of a make over, it is even more lovely. Friendly staff, can’t beat the location.

"Superb location above bus station so quick get away in the morning to catch a bus to where you want to go and even quicker to reach your apartment at the end of a long day. "The property was ideally located for exploring the island. The sea view rooms gave amazing views across the bay, albeit across one of the main roads to the east of the island. Each room has a fan. There is no air conditioning. The rooms face the afternoon sun so do get warm but can be ventilated as the window slides open. The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom and our request for an accessible room was accommodated.
