We evacuated to Baton Rouge due to hurricane Laura and had very bad experiences with hotels in the area. We were about to sleep in our vehicles when we came across this house. It seemed too good to be true. There is a gravel road that leads to the house with construction, but it was not bothersome to us. The house was like a little “slice of heaven” that we so needed. The yard is large and spacious, the house easily accommodated our group of 11, including 2 small children. Kelvin was beyond amazing to us and was very compassionate about what we were going through. We had an issue with one of the tv’s in the bedroom and Kelvin was so adamant about getting it fixed. The cable company was immediately at our location, Kelvin even bought a new tv and brought us dinner for the night, along with an amazing cake! We just couldn’t get over the hospitality and kindness. He even went as far as stocking the kitchen with water, popcorn, coffee and the bathrooms with toothbrushes and toothpaste (even for the kids), hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, etc. kelvin even made sure the washer and dryer was fully operable prior to our arrival.
This house and kelvin were such a blessing to our family, we truly can’t thank him enough for all that he did. God bless him and we look forward to staying at one of his locations again in the future!
