I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at The Winton Inn & Suites, and it was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I entered the room, I was hit with a strong odor that can only be described as a combination of mildew and stale cigarettes. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned or aired out in quite some time. Even though I had to wait for the room to be cleaned after the stated check-in time. The first thing that caught my attention was the state of the floors; they were dirty and sticky, making me hesitant to walk barefoot. The bed linens were no better – they were musty and full of dog hair.

This lady was phenomenal...the room i booked wasnt available but she still accommodated me with a double bed for the same price...i highly recommend you to stay here

Had booked through Expedia , when I arrived the manager told me Expedia messed yp and they had bo rooms, I drove by the place all weekend and there were hardly any vehicles in the parking area

Dear Chtis,This weekend was a busy weekend. You booked on 16th at 12:43 pm sitting in our parking lot and by 12:46 the front desk walked up to you and advised you that room was not available and by 12:49 we reached to expedia and the reservation was officially canceled. In 6 min, we reached out to you, contacted Expedia and cancelled that to us is 10 rating. I can show you the time stamps of your reservation if needed pls reached out to us. We are just a motel and there were 3 events around town all our customer were attending. Mudbogg and 24 hour event was the reason why our customers were enjoying and they could not park here to show you they were present on property. Sorry for the inconvenience but we had to facilitate the customer who had planned early for their trip. We serve our customers first come first serve.Regards

The room smelled and was very dirty. The lights didn't work and the microwave was nasty and old, was rusting inside. Bed was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend

The wifi did not work. The cable on the tv did not work. There was no free breakfast. All of that was a lie. The room was dirty. I had to go and get cleani g supplies. And the worst of all roaches crawling all over the wall and funiture..

The TV would not work. The floors were not clean. It had a very weird smell in the room. The shower was very nice. It seemed like they tired to update date the rooms but didn't finish the Renos.

Very good place for an overnight stay. Room was clean and quiet. The beds are extremely high: close to two feet off the floor. Very difficult for anyone under 5'6" to get in. The food area was closed when we got in at 4pm and closed again when we left at 9am. Plenty of coffee in the room and the little pot worked well. Bare wood floor was great for not worrying about the puppy.

Room was awkward to get to & we were given no directions. The office isnt marked well and wasnt really manned. Looked like it was under renovations, but no work was being done.

My stay at the winton inn was so good. They are doing renovations on several rooms. The owner and employees made me feel like i was right at home. The resturant is absolutely amazing. My biggest thing is safety during my stay i did not even lose a lick of sleep while on the property. I would stay 100 times over if i could

The staff person did care about the customers. I asked to have the refrigerator replaced in my room right after I entered my room. Because it was not working. I went out for an hour and when I came back (5:00pm) it had not been replaced. I went to the front office no one was there. The next morning (9:00am) went back to the office no one there. I noticed a list of phone numbers on the counter, I called two of the numbers got someone come and fix the problem. The person that I talked to on the phone said he would talk with his Manager about getting me a discount on the room. But when I spoke with him at check-out about the discount . He stated that he didn't think he should, because he fixed the problem in five minutes. I explained that I was without a refrigerator for over 24 hours.

Dear Sir,We went to the room as soon as you had mentioned the Fridge, When we knocked on the door and no one responded we dint enter the room. once the room key is given to you we will not enter the room without your presence or you mentioning that you are stepping out and we are ok to step in. Only after 24 hours at the time of checkout did you speak to us and ask for a 75% discount which was not approved. Sorry about your experience it was literally a 2 min work for us and it didn't happen only because you dint open them or you stepped out without giving us the approval to step in.

The family running the facility seemed nice and helpful. The facility was located outside the "main area" of town on a back road. There was no sign ( it appeared to have been blown out by a storm and not replaced). There seemed to be "guests" lurking around the property. The room was musty when we arrived. The airconditioner was not running and the room was humid and warm. There was no wifi available.

My door didn't lock,my television had vertical lines on both sides of the screen, front desk shuts down by 8pm. I called to get Wifi code.... no answer nor was a code given to me at check-in. When i complained about my experience, the clerk made no attempt to make right. Steer clear of this place.

Dont stay here they will mess up your bank account
I was over charged on my bank card and they didnt not want to take responsibility for their actions i am very displeased with how this hotel is ran and will not be staying there again i live in town and will warn others about how unprofessional they were i was having work done on my house and stayed a night while finshed and this hotel over charged my bank account !!!

We have shown you the credit card receipt and folio that you have signed. our responsibility ends there. We do not appreciate racial slurs and profanity on our property. request you to reach out to us through your bank and feel free to dispute it with the bank we will provide the appropriate paperwork since you are not able to comprehend this transaction. request you to not come to the property without any representation as we have gone over this conversation 3 times already. If you choose to come in person do make sure to bring a bank statement as we cant just take your word for an additional charge. Thank you.

Shocked extremely shocked and disappointed
The service was fine. The room which was changed at check in had bugs all over the ceiling, the bed sheets,towels and wash clothes were stained and the pull out bed had no sheets. When i brought the issues to the front office what looks like a older child was at the desk. I asked for more sheets and towels no sheets were available and the 2 towels he provided was also stained and he said they were running out. The bathroom toilet seat had dried urine all over it.Not only did he not apologize he acted as he had no care. I literally had to spend more money to purchase bug spray, bedding cleaning supplies towels and wash clothes for my family. I stayed at this hotel before and did not have any of these issues.

At first upon arrival, the rep was not available and had a note posted on door to call, took ten minutes for him to come to the check in window, the key to the room did not work; he had to escort me to my room, in the room, no soap or toiletries, the wifi internet did not work, no vending machines, front desk rep didnt answer phone,l when i called him a few hours after check in. Very disaffisfied.

Where to begin the staff was nice , however everything was closed no restaurant breakfast ect like it claimed as to thats one of the main reasons i booked here , the bed was terrible room was bad enough we didnt even use the bathroom and couldnt wait to get out of there honestly almost just left even though if be out the money

the manger was so nice, cleanest rooms I've seen in a while, the restaurant on property was a very nice touch to the whole stay, management was very welcome even thought i checked in pretty late in the night, i gice this hotel 5 stars out of 4

Dirty!!
This is a no frills hotel, which is fine. HOWEVER, I do not do bugs. Immediately after getting in the room we found an insect crawling up the wall. Upon inspecting the bathroom we noticed just how dirty this place was. Every nook and cranny and corner in the bathroom was dirty. Literally looked as if no one ever cleaned it properly.
