Stayed here with my partner for our first getaway together and it truly was the best decision!The location is stunning, they have such a beautiful property set away from hustle and bustle where you can truly unwind. It's also close enough to any major locations in north Devon which again is another selling point.The property itself is well fitted, the bathroom in particular is incredible. That in combination with the effort Maria and Steve go to is what makes this place second to non! From the in depth welcome documentation with anything you could ever need to know, to the hamper on arrival, it's truly special.Overall, I'd recommend this stay to anyone looking to get away for a long weekend, or even longer. We did 4 days. It was enough to see all of the surrounding areas while still having some time to relax.

Schon bei der Vorbereitung des Urlaubes wie auch beim Aufenthalt in Rye Park wurden wir sehr professionell und herzlich begleitet. Die Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Wir haben uns sehr "willkommen" und wohl gefühlt. Wir konnten entspannen und unseren Urlaub genießen. Dazu beigetragen haben die sehr netten Vermieter, die z.B. gute Tipps vermittelt haben, aber auch die sehr hochwertige luxuriöse Wohnung, die mit vielen liebevollen Details ausgestattet wurde (z.B. frisch gepflückter Blumenstrauß,Willkommenskorb mit Leckereien,tolle Badewanne,bequemes riesiges Bett) und die atemberaubende Natur (Ruhe,Vogelgezwitscher). Wir würden diese Wohnung auf jedem Fall weiterempfehlen.

Perfect

We adored it! The Stables was so comfortable, absolutely, spotlessly clean and very stylish. Everything you could possibly need had been provided by Maria and Steve and the welcome hamper and flowers were so thoughtful. We loved the walk down the the river even though we didn't make it over to the other side. It was just so peaceful there. The private outside area was also comfortable and peaceful. The location is just right, close to beautiful Exmoor and the very interesting coast. Barnstaple for supermarket shopping wasn't too far way. Maria and Steve were perfect hosts, friendly and discreet but always there if you needed them.

Beautiful Accommodation

The warmest of welcomes to the most beautiful place. Nothing was too much bother. The accommodation was spotless, spacious and well presented. The massive bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was complete luxury. We can't wait to return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stables. The barn was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. Hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating and the area surrounding was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Staycation 23

The stables has provided us with exactly what we were looking for great accommodation and tranquil surroundings. Maria and Steve have put so much thought into the finish within the Stables, it’s amazing. Everything is completed to the highest standard. We have stayed at a number of cottages over the past decade and in our opinion the Stable is the best accommodation that we have stayed in . This was our first time in North Devon and even though the weather was not the best this did not detract from our experience, with there being plenty to do within a short drive

Super accommodation in lovely location

We had a great stay here. The accommodation was very well-equipped and luxurious, with a huge bed, wet room with bath and excellent shower, kitchen with everything that was required, and well-lit comfortable sitting area with TV, games etc. Maria was extremely helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. We would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Fabulous holiday in fabulous cottage!

The stables was beautifully furnished to a very high standard and immaculately clean. The accommodation was very private with pretty garden and our wonderful host Maria was always on hand to welcome us and answer any questions. The property is in the most beautiful location. The property itself is beautifully designed and the hosts have thought of literally everything! Their attention to detail is just great, with everything so well thought out. We will definitely be back. A really relaxing rural retreat.

5 STAR RELAXATION *****

Not only is this property beautifully furnished to a very high standard but Maria & Steve provided a very warm & friendly welcome aswell as providing some very informative tips and information to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The Stables is located in a woodland/farmland area but is only approx 20mins from the nearby town and coastline with a variety of activities/ places to visit. Overall a very relaxing experience with beautiful surroundings and outstanding accommodation - You will not be disappointed in choosing to stay here

OUTSTANDING

The Stables is by far the best rental accommodation we have stayed in. The directions provided were clear and accurate, and the Guest Guide file was comprehensive & complete. We were greeted by the very friendly host with various welcoming items too long to list (examples include Prosecco, a bunch of beautiful wild flowers, scones with strawberry jam & clotted cream - to name a few). The furnishings, appliances and utensils are all impeccable and there are special thoughtful touches everywhere to make you feel welcome and at home. The bed is big and comfortable and there are more than enough towels including bath sheets which were very welcome after relaxing in the beautiful big bath. We enjoyed a wonderful week and will certainly be back in the near future.

Fantastic escape from everything

My wife and I wanted a short break to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everything going on in the world and Maria and her property were just what we needed, we are even looking at booking again and taking my wife’s grandparents. The stables cottage was fab it had everything , Maria took us out to meet and feed the sheep and gave us a background of the property, recommended places to eat and see , we walked through the woods on the day we left and I was provided with some boots again by Maria as I didn’t have any!! She was a fantastic host and we were made to feel very welcome highly recommend

Simply the best.

We just had a week at the Stables what can I say. Location fabulous,barn fabulous,hosts fabulous. If you need a week away in comfort this is the place,cosy downstairs,great kitchen super lounge. The massive bath is just what you need after exploring the Devon countryside. Upstairs the king size bed is so comfortable you don't want to wake up. Thank you Maria for such a wonderful week away,we will be back!!

Honeymoon getaway

This property was perfect for our honeymoon. We were greeted by Maria and her husband who were very welcoming and friendly, we felt if we needed anything they would be more than happy to help. The area had a lovely area to walk and explore and then not far away are the beaches. We also visited Exmoor Zoo nearby which was lovely. The property itself was stunning and we didn't really want to leave, the beams were amazing and the bathroom was a favourite! We had food one evening in a local pub - the black venus inn - stunning! However the last 2 nights we stayed in as we loved the property so much! We look forward to hopefully visiting again in the future.

Relaxing perfection!

We had the best time relaxing in a beautiful property surrounded by the most incredible scenery and nature. Hosts Maria and Steve were friendly and made us feel at home. The sheep and other assorted animal friends were an added bonus! A wonderful property in a beautiful part of Devon. We can’t wait to go back!
