    There is no active train station in Barnard Castle; the last one closed in 1964. The nearest rail access is at Bishop Auckland station, about 12.6–20 km away depending on specific postcode variation.



    Local bus services include Arriva’s X75 (via Staindrop), X76 (via Winston), and Hodgsons Coaches 79 (to Richmond). Most bus stops are within 100–200 metres of Horsemarket.

    *Any loud music, parties, and smoking indoors will also result in immediate removal from the accommodation as we will be highlighted via our noise and air monitoring systems located in the property.



    *For stays longer than a week, additional housekeeping can be arranged for a further fee.
