"From the minute we stepped inside we were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The rooms were clean and roomy. The food was excellent and the dining room service was excellent…..evening meal and breakfast. The views were incredible, the location was beautiful. Would definitely stay again and would definite, recommend, 100%."

"The Woolly Sheep is a lovely base for a trip to Skipton and the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and maintained with plenty of storage available should you need it. The restaurant and bars are comfortable and the food is very good. Being summer, we made use of the outside courtyard to sit and enjoy a lovely glass of chilled wine! The bars must also be lovely and cosy in the winter so that may warrant another trip. The staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. One thing...

"Lovely hotel / pub in a very scenic location. Beautiful views. We had 2 cottages for our extended family group of 7 adults/ 4 children. Spent the afternoon enjoying the patio drinks and watching the water flow. Had a delicious Sunday dinner in the lovely upper dining room. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed . Would definitely stay again ."

"The best asset of the property is its location. Specially, if you have a room facing the canal site, which is quieter the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic to help. That does not overcome the fact that if you have a room on the third floor you have to lugg your suitcase, up four flights of stairs. Rooms start on the second floor. You want room the second floor .
